Excellent hotel , superbly presented and its location is perfect , tucked away down a quiet road. I loved the pictures of the various films made down the road at shepperton studios dotted around the hotel. The bar area was relaxing with comfortable seating. Staff where helpful and friendly. Theres also a room service. Enjoyable stay all round.
We had to make a stopover in London and wanted to spend the night near Heathrow Airport. So we booked this hotel. It was only later that we realised the hotel was over an hour away from Heathrow Airport. We didn't incur any cancellation fees, which was our mistake. However, it shows the philosophy and customer friendliness of the hotel. Nevertheless, last year we went to Italy and had to change our plans at short notice. A small family hotel was so accommodating and cancelled our hotel reservation free of charge in the hope that we would come back another time, which we did. That's customer service, but a large chain, which will certainly be able to rebook the room, shows zero goodwill.
After staying at dozens of Holiday Inns in the USA this came as an amazing surprise as the level of service and standards was far far higher than expected. The rooms, although somewhat cozy felt brand new and the bed and pillows were outstanding. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and extensive and the only thing that detracted from the experience was the fact that there were rampaging, yelling and screaming children running roughshot all throughout the dining and buffet area. Would definitely stay here again, but will bring earplugs now down to the restaurant.
Absolutely fabulous weekend stay. The room was lovely and clean with nice touches of tea/ coffee and shower gels. Two complimentary drinks vouchers were given by a very attentive receptionist. The restaurant staff made a huge effort to make sure our son was given gluten free food clear from any cross contamination. If only all hotels could be so thorough. Had an excellent few hours in the pool and spa. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the great kids area and warm cosy bar.
We held a charity Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show at the newly refurbished Holiday Inn, Shepperton, and it was amazing. From the initial contact and throughout the process all requests/arrangements were met with a positive ‘no problem’ attitude. Under the leadership of the amazing Sandra the whole team were warm, friendly and professional throughout the day. Rooms were provided for the models and choir to get ready in and the main event took place in a beautifully prepared dining room. Nearly 150 guests dined on fantastic food - all delicious, promptly served, and the hot food was hot! This is an annual event, but our first time at this venue, and we will certainly be back - our guests will insist on it! Well done and our grateful thanks to everyone involved. Excellent staff, quiet peaceful location in an exclusive residential area of Surrey / Greater London. 5 star spa & pool facilities. 5 star restaurant menu (v impressive food). Great spacious bar. Spotlessly clean throughout. Fully equipped bedrooms with modern decor & super clean. Friendly & hardworking kind, considerate and happy staff throughout the hotel.
We stayed in a family room with our 2 young children. The room was fab, sofa plenty big enough for them and all spotlessly clean. Air conditioning was great in room. Lovely friendly restaurant staff, even though it was busy, looked after us so well. Lovely little pool with super clean showers and changing facilities. Was a lovely stay and would definitely stay there again. Thank you to all the staff.
Avoid this hotel. Check in staff were unwelcoming. Mix up with booking over dinner inclusivity. Car parking is chargeable although not mentioned. A/c not working in very small loud hot room. No security on front door. Felt uncomfortable when shouting match broke out in bar area - several travellers staying in the hotel were causing chaos; drinking & letting their children run amok. Allowed to Smash glasses & leave a Mess everywhere. Breakfast had no tea available. Pool & changing rooms very small steam room not working. Had to wait 4 hours for dinner on one occasion - not great with children. Dessert Menu had 8 options but only 2 choices available. Hotel leaking when it rained. Hotel over booked so my sister had to sweat it out over night in 35 - 40° heat with 2 fans going; no air as window was broken.no other rooms available. Staff are trying to help but everything seems to either not work or they can’t cope with work load. Food & location the only redeeming qualities, and I’ll give a shout out to Sandra who did try her best.
Lovely peaceful location which we have stayed at many times before. We loved the recent renovation and particularly the new Restaurant. The Reception staff were friendly when we checked in which gave us a nice start to our break. The star of the weekend for us was Tatiana who ran the show in the Restaurant for our evening meals. She was friendly, smiley, chatty and extremely efficient and polite. She could not have been more helpful to us and we observed her being likewise with all the other guests. She has been at the Hotel for three years she told us and let’s hope she is there for many more. We will be back in October and look forward to seeing her again hopefully.
