who actually needs sleep. We were kept awake late into the night due to a very loud hosted event with DJs, which guests were not informed about prior to arrival. We had a 4am start for work and, had we known this event was taking place, we would never have booked the room. Being offered a room move late in the evening was not a realistic solution — we had already unpacked, were exhausted after a 13-hour workday, and simply needed to sleep. The most concerning part is that the hotel knowingly sells rooms at the same time as loud late-night events without warning guests in advance. This means every stay is essentially a gamble as to whether you’ll get a quiet night or not. When we raised the issue, the hotel refused a full refund and instead offered a discount off a future stay — despite us being very clear that we would never return. This response felt dismissive and showed a lack of accountability. Our room rate is insignificant compared to what the hotel clearly prioritised that night: the revenue from the event, rather than the comfort of paying guests. If you are staying for work, have an early start, or simply expect a hotel room to be somewhere you can sleep, avoid this place. We will also be advising colleagues who regularly stay in hotels in the local area to do the same.

An amazing hotel that has preserved its traditions. Rooms are big and cozy but the architecture of the building is what we found truly impressive. The parks and the lake around were charming. Breakfast was abundant. We loved it. My only comment would be that 3pm is too late for check-in and we found the premises of the hotel a little bit chilly, I think they didn't turn on the air conditioning there.

We stayed here for 3 nights when we got married in August. We got married at the nearby registry office and returned here with our guests for drinks and Afternoon Tea. From start to finish everything was perfect. Beautiful room, gardens and location. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is fabulous! Out Afternoon Tea was amazing. The room was stunning The Drawing Room. We had a lovely man called Ian who made sure everything ran smoothly and he made our day! The 2 gentleman he had working with him were brilliant. We really were made to feel like family or very regular guests! I can't recommend this place enough for a special occasion or just as a l9vely place to relax and explore the local area. Thank you to all at The Oatlands Park Hotel for making our day the best day we could have wished for.

Awesome stay here. As an anniversary stay they kindly upgraded to an even more luxury room, which was huge with large windows with a lake view. So that was superb, the bed was equally enormous and super comfy, soft yet firm and supporting. Excellent shower and bathroom with complimentary soaps etc. Kettle and teas etc in room which was nice. Breakfasts was delicious well made and lots of choice. Little bit confusing as we needed to wait to be seated and there are a few entrances to the dining areas. Hardly a complaint though as we were seated quick enough. Walked about the grounds to get a overview of the house. Interesting trees. Didn't seem to be an official way down to the lake, nor a path alongside it when we walked down to it, just brambles. Again not a complaint, just observation.

The hotel is huge, and spans a large area. Very impressive when you walk in. Our walk from the reception to our room was long and involved many stairs. We were there celebrating a special occasion. Our bed was decorated with swans and petals. The actual room that we were in was an executive room and was very big and spacious. It had all the amenities. However, our dinner was poor and did not live up to expectations. The meal was included in the deal, but most items had a supplement on them, which we though wasnt fair. The actual food was okay but not outstanding. Breakfast was standard. The hotel was not overly concerned when we raised this with them. All in all it was a decent stay but not outstanding.

13/03/23 Room 3015 We stayed for one night, Sunday to Monday. Very nice building, good facilities, helpful friendly staff. We checked in around 17:00, then settled into the room. Good room, very spacious, high ceiling and large window. There are a few bits of décor that could be neatened up to elevate the room, some paint touch up, and cracks/gaps in plaster around joints. We then went to run the shower and there was no hot water. We called the front desk and the duty manager came. He advised that due to the size of the building it can take time for the hot water to travel from the tank, so were advised to leave the hot tap running for a while, then call again if no change. After 15 mins there was still no hot water, so we called the front desk, and were told they would move us to another room. To the duty manager returned, no questions asked, he showed us to a new room, no 3012. He had already checked the shower temperature before we arrived and updated our booking to confirm the upgrade with no additional changes. Room 3012 was also very nice, less spacious than the previous, high ceiling and big window again, but with a much bigger freshly decorated bathroom with a wet room shower. There were a few bits of décor that could use a touch up again, knocks and dinks out the skirtings, no real major issues. There was quite a lot of light coming in from the hallway around the room door, we used some of the bed cushions to help block out the gap at the bottom, again not a major issue. Breakfast was very nice, good selection. Very clean spacious restaurant. Overall, despite the water issue, it was a very nice place to stay. The issue was resolved quickly and without any hassle. Very nice building, it's a shame we arrived after dark and couldn't explore the grounds. We would stay again.

A journey of two and half hours to enjoy a milestone birthday, we were denied extra sandwiches. A waiter (Zac) was rude and his attitude was not friendly. Having had many afternoons teas at various prestigious locations, we felt short changed. Will definitely not be going back and reluctant to recommend.

The room was well appointed but could do with some more cleaning. Marked walls and mould in the showers. The buffet breakfasts were adequate but could do with an upgrade. However, the evening meal was first class, well cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Also, the hotel staff were incredibly attentive and sensitive from the most junior to the managers, knowing that we were a large family party attending a funeral. Overall a very positive experience.

We came for our anniversary. Beautiful, clean room nicely decorated with all the expected amenities. Staff really helpful & went out of their way (especially Fysal on reception) to ensure we had a lovely weekend. The breakfast is excellent, a selection of continental or full English. Fine dining in the evening overlooking the lawn & lake with a glass of wine...superb! Will definitely come again & can't recommend it enough.
