Went for the ice skating at Christmas...horrendous. ice rink was bumpy, no small kids ice skates/shoes on skate, 5 Christmas songs repeated (when remembered) no decorations (2 bare Christmas trees I assume they couldn't sell)and though there were stalls for Christmas type market, none of 2which were opened, so no food or drink. I was advised I could go into the hotel bar... Where I managed to get a hot chocolate for my kids BUT only just and no biscuits or cake or snack available (though there was a sign selling the cake, which I took I down for them). Really poor. Such a shame. Paid same price as Ruxley ... go to Ruxley!

One star to be able to write a review because we didnt even get to see the venue, sadly. All due to poor handling and lack of organisation. Planned a venue viewing for our wedding, I had to reschedule the original booking due to double booking another venue at same time in another area. Communication was so dire, must have chased them 3 times as they said they would get back to me. Asked for 11am 25 Oct and the reply I got asked me what time I was looking at...? Stumped already. Anyway we turned up and the receptionist was a very lovely man who made us feel very welcome. Sat there for 20mins during which we had numerous updates that someone was on their way but werent sure who. In my emails, I had to ask who I will be meeting as they would email without a sign off signature or name often. I was told one of 3 people - Craig, Brian or Vee. Between the 3 of them, neither could get there on time, it seemed. While we waited, we noticed the bar panel falling apart, the outside covering perspex panels half missing, and other things. I know it is an old building but these things are just down to poor upkeeping, and that was just in the place we were sat. After 20min, we made our mind up we werent going to wait any longer and we let the gentleman know we had to leave, he apologised so much on their behalf and said he would get the people to contact me, I said please dont because so far Im unimpressed and wont ever have confidence the team would be able to organise our big day. He was so apologetic and understanding, wish he was the manager, he would have made a great job of our viewing I am sure!!! Anyway, from what I have experienced with the venue, not the person - avoid.

The Manor was the first venue we saw, and I pretty much knew straight away it was going to be βthe one.β The grounds are gorgeous, with so many lovely spots for photos, and the day flowed so beautifully from getting ready in the Lodge to walking through to the ceremony in the Orangery and then out onto those beautiful grounds for drinks and photos before heading into the Marquee for food and dancing. From that first meeting, the whole team made us feel so welcome. We got to know quite a few of the staff over the planning process, and every single person was brilliant - friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely keen to help us shape the day we had in mind. They really listened to what we wanted and took on our feedback with care, offering great suggestions while making sure it still felt like our day. The food was a real highlight - every guest commented on how good it was. One friend, whoβs vegan, said it was the first wedding heβd been to where he didnβt need to reach for his emergency snacks because the food was so delicious. I honestly couldnβt recommend The Manor enough for an event. Itβs high-quality service with a relaxed, family-style feel. Thankyou to Graham, Craig, Vee, Vicky, Sarah, Emily and all the team who made our day so special.

Many thanks to Graham, Craig and the team at The Manor for all their help in organising a wonderful celebration of life for our parents. The food, drinks, venue and hospitality were outstanding . The grounds are beautiful and the marquee was just perfect. We had so many compliments from our guests.

The Manor hosted a very large Funeral Reception for my Sister after the early passing of her husband. We had family who came from Australia, Mauritius and France and many friends who travelled significant distances. We were able to use the whole of the ground floor and it was beautifully organised. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was wonderful and laid out so people could easily serve themselves. Several family members and friends stayed for one or two nights and were very happy with the accommodation and service. When you have a sombre celebration it is more important for everything to go well than at a happy event where it can be laughed off. The Manor delivered a glitch free celebration for my amazing brother-in-law.. Thank you.

Attended a wedding reception here. The Marquee and decor was lovely. They ptovided a beautiful reception for guests as they arrived. The grounds were beautifully landscaped (great for pics). The sit down dinner was good and evening buffet options were excellent. Would have given 5/5 but The Manor building itself and bedrooms looks a bit tardy so could really do with an uplift.

It was my partners birthday so I booked in for an extra special night for him. Unfortunately the photos of the rooms were nothing like the room we received. It was white and cold. No extra touches at all. The toilet was basic with a dated shower that was held up with elastic. Every time we used the light in the toilet the very loud fan noise would come on and not turn off for ages. It was so depressing. We both just wanted to go home. I was not going to put a review up here but instead inform the management about our stay but when I tried to convey our complaints we were asked to email it to them and not even asked what the complaints were. We paid Β£130 for a miserable room. On a positive the living room and manor itself looks nice.
