Very friendly visitors centre and helpful staff. We purchased a 'Heart of Chester' tour which was very informative, took in some unusual places such as all of us walking into a underground bar to see medieval vaulting and through the toilets of Pret-a-Manger to see original Roman ruins!!! Phil, our guide, was very knowledgeable and made it enjoyable and good value.
Start time me and my girlfriend stayed in Chester we stayed here, good food and friendly staff, in the heat of the city so close to all the attractions

We had a lovely Roman walking tour. The guide was enthusiastic and told us a lot about that period of history. It was very informative and interesting. We even visited a sight that is hidden from the public. Definitely worth it!

Chester was very good for shopping at one time , but these days the city centre is just full off ,cafes, pubs, and other eatting places every few yards , its become very boring now, the choice of shops is just like any small town now,
Walked through the door and was jumped on straight away by a female member of staff asking me to wear a mask and then asking whether I was exempt in front of another customer. Since when were employees there to question someones exemption status and then draw attention to this by shouting it so everyone could hear.
Nice place to walk around lovely old buildings . Small xmas market plenty of food options & drink. There's a bigger Xmas market on 25th Nov a big switch on
We started our two-day trip to Chester here at the Visitor Information Centre. The lady we spoke with couldn’t have been more helpful. She gave us the time and the tools to make the most of our trip. We had planned to do the hop on hop off bus trip but didn’t realise you could pay a little extra to get a boat trip included. She gave us a good steer about places of interest and where to find the types of restaurants we were interest in. Very impressed!! Thank you.
