Could of went to the place where they made the medicine and got it quicker. No one infront of me and still waiting half an hour for 1 antibiotic…. If somethings wrong with you, the GP is right next to you go see them. Just take the prescriptions and go somewhere else because this place is a joke

Should open weekends, or at least a few hours on a saturday, not everybody has days off in the week. Staff can also be very indiscreet when asking for name, address, dob etc in a very small busy area! Think ill switch.

Over a week ago, I had a doctor’s appointment for my child. The doctor prescribed two medications. However, one of them was unavailable at the time, i collected one item and the pharmacist asked me to return later that afternoon, assuring me that the missing item would be ordered. I returned around 5 PM, but overheard a conversation from the back of the pharmacy indicating that the product had not arrived. A woman, who appeared to be in a managerial role, handed the pharmacist a different product. The pharmacist immediately pointed out that it was not the same as the one prescribed. Despite this, the manager instructed the pharmacist to tell me it was the same product. The pharmacist, to her credit, refused to do so. As a result, the manager approached me directly and insisted that the substitute was identical to the one on the prescription. I was surprised and concerned, as the prescription clearly stated “junior,” while the product I was given was labeled “baby.” I specifically asked whether it was weaker, if it had the exact same ingredients, and whether it was suitable for ulcers—the condition for which it had been prescribed. The manager assured me it was exactly the same. Once I got home, I decided to look up both products online. Aside from sharing the first part of the name, they had completely different compositions. More importantly, the product I was given was not even intended to treat ulcers. By then, it was Friday evening and the pharmacy was already closed. It remained closed over the weekend, meaning my child had to suffer without the proper medication. It was heartbreaking to watch my child cry in pain, all because I was misled. This experience was extremely distressing and unacceptable. I’m deeply concerned that a pharmacy would knowingly dispense a different product—not equivalent to the one prescribed—just because it happened to be in stock. Is this even legal? I do not recommend this pharmacy and strongly urge that appropriate action be taken to prevent this from happening to other patients, especially children.

I am so grateful for the care given my granddaughter who collapsed yesterday with her asthma after having to walk up from Boots who had really not been very nice to her over needing another blue inhaler. They lectured her about her asthma being unstable even after she explained to them she was awaiting a chest appointment with the asthma team. It was suggested she should be on oxygen therapy, a diagnosis they are not qualified to make. The Gentleman at Rowlands was wonderful with her a treated her immediately with 8 puffs which she needed. He was very up to date on asthma, kind and caring. The was patients needing assistance should be treated. Well done Rowlands!
