Fantastic food, probably the best chip shop in the area. The portions sizes were good and prices comparable with other chip shops. All in all good food, great service and decent price.
We travel from dewsbury as we've always been happy with the quality of what we get from here. But today even though there was no one else in shop so they were not under pressure we got the wrong order. Not good.
Heard fish & chips from Barracuda were really special..went out of my way to purchase them. The fish was really good but found the chips very dry & portion far too big (could reduce price & give lesser portion). The staff chatted between themselves whilst serving me which I found quite rude..Will not be going again.
I always liked it because it used to be consistently good, but It appears not anymore. Last week I called in i was very disappointed, the chips were barely cooked and not warm as was the fish which tasted old and the batter was soggy, and the curry sauce was truly awful, very watery and tasteless. I used to like the place but no longer and will not go again which is a real shame.
Excellent fish and chip shop !, prices are very reasonable even after price increases at other fish and chip shops they still seem to be very reasonable. Having ordered fish butties , battered sausage ,spam fritters and Scollops from here all good has been cooked well and has been fresh. Fish butty was very nice with a nice sized fish and and good batter . Nothing was soggy and everything was nice and crisp. Members of staff are very polite and kind . There’s a nice outdoor seating area outside also if you would like to eat your fish and chips after purchasing. Overall a great fish and chip shop in terms of value and quality 5/5
I'm sorry but the fishcakes need improving I Payed £4.10 here today for a fishcake butty it was all potato with a bit of fish iv had fish and chips here they're fairly decent but the fishcake at that price has to be better if you go to George a green £3.30 for proper fishcake butty cooked in beef fat that's how they're supposed to be I won't be buying anymore of these fishcakes anytime soon
Pretty disappointed with it. Unwrapped the fish when I got home and it was all stuck to the paper so half the fish ended up without batter which was very thin anyway and quite soggy
Lunchtime treat of fish butty and chips with curry sauce, top quality and freshly made.. staff are quick and efficient and it gets busy.. roadside parking or picnic tables/benches are provided and are clean..
Not the place it used to be soggy fish over price I managed to eat half of my fish and chips the rest when in the bin
Used to be best about but just keeps getting worse, the portions iv had past few times wouldn’t fill a kid up. I can never finish fish and chips but from here im always still hungry after. Was always a second choice for us anyway but would rather go without after tonights portion.
