Great place! Best Sunday dinner in Barnsley. We always eat out for Sunday dinner and my dad would always complain about something. Been for past 2 weeks and nothing bad to say. Lovely wholesome carvery/pie, veg good, and desserts yum! Perfect for a family dinner. All the staff are friendly and welcoming too.

The staff are so friendly and make you feel really welcome from the moment you walk in. It’s a lovely traditional pub with a warm, relaxed atmosphere — exactly how a proper local should be. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous food and lovely helpful staff. I went with 11 of my work colleagues and everyone of them enjoyed their food. The garlic mushrooms were excellent and in a lovely thick sauce. My steak was cooked to perfection, I would highly. recommend. Thank you to the staff for an excellent service.
A lively all ages community pub for sure. Great atmosphere. It was far too busy for us to get Sunday Roast as it was absolutely packed. Booking recommended on a Sunday then, but I can't comment on the food. A real proper unpretentious boozer. I wish there were more of these places left in the UK
Simply stunning service and food. We can’t believe they can provide this quality and these portion sizes at these great prices! Thank you. We’re not local, but we’re already going to book for Sunday carvery. Well worth the drive!
Once again an exceptional meal and service, we were in restaurant which had quite a lot of children in and Jason moved us to different table in quieter area, very kind of him as was my husband's 70th birthday and appreciated not as much activity. Meal, steak pie was beautiful served by friendly staff, couldn't manage a dessert as stuffed. Can't recommend this pub enough
