Given the price, we expected better facilities and service. To begin with, there is no elevator. I had requested a ground-floor room, but although that request was not met, I understand that these things can happen. The room was smaller than what was shown in the photos and, unfortunately, did not feel comfortable. The building is quite old, as are the furniture and the bed. The heater in our room was not working, so we repeatedly returned to a cold room during winter. While we appreciate being provided with an electric heater, it was not sufficient to properly warm the room. Although we had a car, the parking situation was not tourist-friendly. As visitors, we were unfamiliar with the area and unsure where to park. The receptionist advised us to park near Bayswater Station, which we did, but payment required a local parking app that was difficult for tourists to use. We contacted the receptionist again and even offered to pay more than the parking fee in cash just to borrow access to the app, but they were unable to assist. As a result, we were left confused in the car park at 2 a.m. and ultimately received a fine, which we only discovered after returning to our home country. Later, a nearby shop kindly advised us on where to park. We then learned that the parallel parking outside our apartment was actually FREE!! The only positive aspect of our stay was the convenient location near Bayswater Underground Station. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and considering the price, there are better accommodation options available.

Our stay at this hotel was the worst experience we have ever had. From the very first night, we woke up with painful bites, red welts, and rashes exclusively on the parts of our bodies that came into contact with the bed. The situation became dramatically worse every night. After returning home, a doctor confirmed that the marks were bed bug bites, based on their pattern and distribution, and clearly not an allergic reaction. Even now, less than a week later, the bites are still extremely visible, very swollen, and continue to itch and burn intensely. When we reported the issue to the hotel staff, they showed complete indifference. There was no proper inspection, no alternative room offered, no assistance, no refund—nothing. We were forced to ask for clean sheets ourselves and were told to carry them to the room and change the bedding on our own. As if this were not enough, the toilet was also broken. Without using the flush, waste from another room would come up due to a malfunctioning sewage system. We repeatedly woke up to a dirty, used toilet, which was shocking and completely unhygienic. Because of the hotel’s total lack of responsibility, we suffered severe discomfort, pain, stress, and emotional distress. We have already spent a significant amount of money on doctor visits, dermatological treatments, antihistamines, creams, and professionally cleaning our belongings after returning home. This experience completely ruined our trip and was absolutely unacceptable. We are posting this review along with photos so that no one else has to go through what we experienced.

We booked this at the last moment, having been let down by Airbnb. I then read some reviews that left me concerned. However, it was nice, and it was clean. Room 3 is lower basement, but it has a window and air conditioning. It could do with a few additions such as new pillows and a mirror in the main room, but overall, it was good. It's in an excellent location and the staff in the main hotel were lovely and very helpful.

Terrible little dog box. No air conditioning and we, mouldy shower. Treacherous staircases and no lifts. Booked 5 nights and left after 1, unbearable. Would not recommend

Did not get the room that we booked for three. TV wasn’t operational. Fellow at front desk told me they would send someone. 1.5 hours later I went back. Given another room. Keys wouldn’t work - had to return them two times to get ones that worked. Room was very dated and dirty. My socks got filthy walking around. Bathroom not cleaned properly. I complained and they sent a cleaner while we were out. Areas pointed out were not done. This very small apartment was $450 Canadian a night. I realize it’s London but I expect cleanliness! Found a better hotel (Princes Square) in the same neighbourhood for $75 Canadian a night more. Well worth it. It was clean, bigger and had exceptional service.

Overall a very good experience. Very clean room. Location is the best, with two underground stations within 2 blocks.

The room was smaller than It looks in the booking website, nevertheless it was clean and the location was really good, plenty supermarkets, coffee shops, underground stations & bus stops nearby. We didn’t expected to be charged for a security deposit of 200£ but if you pay attention on the advertising it says so. We expect to get the deposit back but for now it’s all good.

Worst experience at a hotel ever. Dirty room with a terrible smell of curry and leftovers in the microwave. We asked the receptionist how to open the window and she told us that she didn't know how to and that maintenance would tell us the next day. We had to buy air freshener and cleaned everything, we still couldn't get rid of the smell. We were told cleaning services would come in the morning - they didn't. The shower sink didn't drain. We were told maintenance would fix it in the morning - they didn't. We were told multiple times that there weren't any rooms to switch over to, until I said how close I was to leaving the hotel entirely, and a room magically appeared. An upgrade they called it, with flickering lights, smaller bathroom, broken and sharp shower head, and no AC/ heating. I wouldn't dare staying at this hotel ever again.

Very basic- do not be fooled by pictures. These rooms are very basic and shabby. The only positive is the location as we were attending a concert in Hyde Park. Our group had three rooms and a member from each room had to give ID and a deposit of £200.The rooms/walls/furniture/floor etc. we’re very grubby, there weren’t any bedside tables, the beds were against walls so there wasn’t anywhere to have anything accessible (reading glasses/charger/tissues/drink). The rooms were hot, no ventilation. Room 3 was in the basement, no natural light so either bright ceiling lights or darkness. Our room had a window with bars, it adjoined an outside area where cleaners stored equipment, laundry, washed out buckets etc so it was very noisy early in the morning, they talked loudly, there was no consideration that guests may want to sleep after 7am. The bathroom sink had no plug, the basin was very small but had a large/kitchen tap so every time you put the tap on water went down the front of the unit, down you ! and all over the floor (see pic of rusty sink unit from long term usage). I feel the pictures used to advertise the property are old and misleading, the rooms are not advertised in their present/poor condition.
