   I’ve just sold my house through Martin & Co in Croydon, and honestly, I’m still wondering if they secretly run on rocket fuel. Extremely fast, very professional, and Peter was absolutely amazing. He kept me updated so regularly that I half expected him to start sending carrier pigeons just to mix things up. If selling a house were an Olympic sport, these guys would take gold while everyone else was still lacing up their shoes. Highly recommend!

   Extremely disappointed and upset!!! I agreed a price to find my tenants only and asked if there were any hidden costs, to which they said no. Then a month later they added on VAT after it was not even mentioned at the meeting.., then waited 2 long months to find tenants. Then added on a mountain of extra costs (which was needed but by no way cheap) including £408 to clean the property!!!! They offered this service but I thought it would be around £60 as the whole house was brand new and refurbished, bathroom unused, new floors etc. They should have warned me of how high these extra costs were especially after I was offered a payment plan solution BEFORE adding that on because of how expensive all the other extra costing was. In keeping this information I don't believe they have the customers best interest at heart. I wouldn't recommend them and I feel utterly horrified, I can't even face my invoice let alone think about paying it. I don't appreciate the lack of transparency and I feel completely painted into a corner. I'm so glad I didn't opt to do full tenancy service, God knows what else they would have sprung on me "And in reply to your reply beliw" I don't have a dishwasher or microwave so don't add things on, and no the way it was sold was that the vat was included in the 6%. Don't mislead people by your response. Your fee was sold to me as £1400 and 'no hidden costs'. And the 'HIDDEN COSTS' were more than a further £1200! Stop blaming customers everytime you get a bad review because all it needed was more transparency and there wouldn't have been an issue.

He is very professional, has great attention to detail and is incredibly fast in resolving any issues that may arise. This is hard to find amongst block agents.    Martin & Co's response to my enquiry was immediate and viewings were arranged within a week and a half. Offers were received within a few days thereafter. Although the legal side of proceedings became of concern during the later stages, the sale was completed within 2 months. For me, that was beyond expectation although it was a no-chain sale. Nothing for me to complain about and, all-in-all, very good value for money.

It was our first time buying a house and she guided us through the process so gracefully. Any issues we had she was very quick to get through to the sellers and report back to us. Even though she was super professional she still made sure she checked on us and how we were doing through the process which I really appreciated.
