    Went to Carl's chippy ( swinton on sat around 4pm on Saturday, i got a fish and peas, when I got home I knew the fish wasn't cod as it smelt different, I had literally 1 bite and it tasted rank, so I binned the lot. As of 2 am this morning ive felt shocking .... I will never ever go again

    Lovely food the fish & chips are cooked fresh n crispy and consistent, reasonably priced so l always go back, give it a try you won't be disappointed! Also they do proper burgers!

    I have been using Carl's for many years and through a change in management from the Irish couple to the Asian owners. I usually order in advance as i like my fish well done with chips and scraps all wrapped separately and they've always accommodated. Portion size is generous and can feed more than 1 person. It's practical for me as on the way home and always been able to park in front of the shop. Service is friendly and no fee for card payment. The quality of the food is good. Plenty of other options on the menu but have always stuck to the traditional fish and chips. I would recommend.

    Called in after work. Best chippy dinner I've had in years. Nice white fish, chips done to a T. Peas are the proper colour, I will be calling in again at that price. GOOD FOOD.

    Better than your average chippy. The menu has choices for all & is reasonably extensive, they also have special offers. The prices are very reasonable & the staff are the most friendly around. If you're looking for a competitively price take away, with good quality food, look no further.
