We saw Beauty & The Beast here last night and it was fantastic. It’s the first professional panto I’ve ever been to so I was thinking it would be painful like a local one I’d been to previously but it was amazing. The sets are fantastic, they use pop songs that fit perfectly with the moment, the acting and singing is all of a really high standard and it was so funny - the actor who plays Philipe Flop is hilarious and really makes the whole show. The atmosphere of the theatre is lovely and relaxed so perfect for kids. I hugely recommend it

I haven't been to YA for a while and hadn't seen the renovations. Great that the men's toilets are much improved. And also that the dining area and bar/restaurant are now out of the main lounge area. However, the atmosphere/ambience of the restaurant is not very welcoming. Very stark and cold. Feels like a hospital or school cafeteria, rather than a warm, inviting space, especially on a chilly autumn evening. A good splash of warm paint (or wood panelling) would do the trick. Also, dimming the lights a bit (almost wished I had sunglasses). One plus was the music was nice and soft and not overwhelming like so many restaurants. I think that if the space was more inviting, people might just want to stick around for an after show drink and chat. The staff were great. 5 stars to them.

A really well run and excellent local theatre offering a wide range of interesting and engaging plays and shows. Lovely riverside location with a cafe and indoor and outdoor seating. Have previously been to see The Mousetrap which was really good and recently went to see the live Allo Allo podcast. Very intimate set up with a fun crowd and very comfortable seating. Well stocked bars with snacks, drinks and Jude’s Ice cream and staff are very friendly and helpful. There’s a car park nearby which can get very busy on event days however the theatre is close to the town centre with plenty if public car parks and all the great restaurants in Guildford.

I went to Yvonne Arnaud Theatre to see the show Murder At Midnight starring Max Bowden from EastEnders and I had a wonderful time, it was an incredible experience to see Max and the rest of the cast perform live as it has always been my dream to see Max perform as I have been a fan of his for many years now so it was a special experience for me. We had front row seats which made the experience even more special too. Yvonne Arnaud is a wonderful little venue with great seating for shows and the cafe is lovely too, with delicious food and drinks and beautiful views across the river. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. Thank you Yvonne Arnaud for a wonderful show and for making my dreams come true with watching Max Bowden perform live, I send my gratitude to Max and the rest of the cast of Murder At Midnight for a fantastic show that I will remember forever!

Lovely Country Road music evening. Very enjoyable. Pre-ordered Nachos with pulled pork. Rather disappointing portion size, needed more meat. It was rather expensive for the size of the portions. Would definitely eat before arriving at Theatre next time.

Lovely theatre. Close to parking, great staff, good choice of food, and a perfectly sized venue (small enough you can see/hear clearly from any seat but large enough to attract interesting tours).

We really enjoyed watching panto here today. We normally go to Woking but thought we’d try out the Yvonne Arnaud this year and were not disappointed in the slightest. Staff were professional, friendly and super helpful which was lovely. Drinks and snacks were reasonably priced and not extortionate so that was a nice surprise. It was easy to park next door in the Millbrook car park and it was only a 2 minute walk to the theatre (although this was a little expensive but on par with all car parks in Guildford these days!) The theatre itself is intimate, acoustics were good and we had a great view of the stage from our seats in the stalls. The production was brilliant, so funny, great choice of songs and something for all ages to enjoy. Well done to all of the cast and crew for a fantastic performance- we will be back!

Great view from the stalls. Arrived beforehand and enjoyed a glass of wine before going in. Car parking available nearby in Milbrook car park (pay and display) which is a short walk away. Staff always friendly and helpful. Masks required for the performance unless eating/drinking. Small theatre but keen to keep supporting to keep the arts alive.

Had a great experience seeing Six The Musical last week. Disabled seating was easily accessible via a ramp from the outside of the building. The only downside was the lack of available staff to ask how to access the stalls without steps, and lack of signs to help navigate the lobby. We were standing completely confused for 10 minutes before heading outside again and seeing the step-free access by chance.
