Lovely pub but food a disappointment. We had nachos - for £7.50 you expect a plateful but this was a small portion of floppy wedges, looked like one tortilla had been fried and then sliced into wedges. Not as crispy as expected for nachos. Toppings of cheese, jalapeños and soured cream blended into a nice mush but no guacamole or salsa as promised on the menu. Halloumi fries were nice but, again, a very small portion for £6.95.

This is a comfortable and relaxing establishment. It was my first time in The Teller courtesy of Yorkshire Wing Kings. The atmosphere, music, food and drink was well worth the visit.

I didn't realise this place was a tapas place until I saw it on here. Mind you we did visit on a Saturday night so pretty much no one was eating. Got served pretty quickly and got a seat pretty easily. Hard to really judge the place as it was coming towards the end of the night so things were dying down a bit.

Drinks are lovely and in a brilliant area of Sheffield but can no longer comment on food quality as the kitchen has changed.

I was going to post pictures of the food when it arrived but was hungry and it smelled and looked amazing and just dived in... Hence the empty plate picture! The site of The Teller was a bank back in the day (hence the name I suppose!) and was then an antiques centre but now it is an amazing venue and a real gem in the Abbeydale Road Crown. The team have done an amazing job over the last few months at getting the venue looking great. The decor is minimal and tasteful with a few Sheffield inspired pieces of art here and there. The building is fully accessible to those in a wheelchair. The beers on tap range from the main stream lager you might find anywhere to the more craft IPA options. The cocktails are modern classics and there were about 8 to chose from. Service was friendly and efficient. We were told that the food was smaller portions suitable for sharing and we got 5 dishes between two of us which was just right. There are veggie options as well as meat ones and the food was served pretty quickly. It looked great and tasted even better. I particularly enjoyed the onion bhajis. While I liked having smaller amounts of a variety of dishes I could have loved to have been able to get a main course size portion of the bahjis especially... Maybe I'll just have to get two portions and not share them next time! The deserts were amazing. I. Really enjoyed the pecan pie but next time I want the mushroom ice cream on it! It seems I'm already planning my return visit!
