Jenny has been absolutely wonderful, She has achieved what so many have said would be impossible, building a trusting relationship with my daughter who has suffered significant school trauma. From the very start, Jenny understood my child’s needs and met her exactly where she was. Her sessions are completely tailored to my daughter, holistic in approach, and genuinely fun and child led. Jenny has given my daughter purpose, confidence and the excitement to attend her sessions. What sets Jenny apart is that she doesn’t just say she is trauma informed, she truly shows it with every interaction. When others said my daughter couldn’t be assessed due to her anxiety, Jenny adapted her approach and proved otherwise, showing with the right understanding and methods, every child can be reached. Her professionalism is 2nd to none. Jenny has written first class, detailed reports that have been invaluable at supporting section F of my Daughter’s EHCP. She’s attended professional meetings with the Local Authority offering vital insight and advocacy that has made such a difference. Since coming to Jenny, I have seen incredible Improvements in my daughter’s ability to regulate emotional and physically. Tasks and activity she would found difficult or impossible are now achievable. This progress has had a huge impact on her daily life. Jenny also works collaboratively with the wider team supporting my daughter’s EOTAS package, ensuring her sensory and physical needs are met, both in education and at home. On top of that, she has provided me with personal training to understand sensory integration and how to best support my daughter. Without Jenny, I don’t know where we would be today. Her compassion, expertise and dedication has transformed not only my daughter’s progress but our whole families journey. I would definitely recommend Jenny to any family, especially to those whose children have experienced trauma or struggle to engage in traditional settings. She is just amazing .

We attended 12 weeks for my 8 year old daughter. She finds new experiences challenging but Jenny was great with her and put us both at ease whilst making sure she was able to get the most out of the sessions. The difference in my daughter has been marked and surprised me! As well as being able to tolerate new challenges better (physical and mental), she is calmer and her thinking is more ordered. This is having a far reaching impact on her ability to learn at school, complete jobs at home and plan in general. Overall her quality of life just seems better! We're very grateful for the new synapses that Jenny got firing for our daughter!

Butterflies has made such an enormous impact on my son’s life and well-being. We have had occupational therapy for three years, during which time my autistic son has learnt to regulate himself, be independent, has learnt to plan and had his needs identified. Jenny is extremely professional, knowledgeable and is like part of the family. She offers great support, advice and recommends brilliant resources.

Jenny was absolutely fantastic with my 7yr old son. From the off Jenny made us both feel at ease and turned assessments into play so my son would engage with the process. I've been struggling for years to get some help for my son and finally to have some confirmation and understanding of his sensory difficulties and what to try to help him is great. Just to talk to someone who understands his needs was wonderful and actually quite emotional! The assessment was thorough, well paced and fun for my son. Jenny has communicated with my son's school regarding recommend changes to support him. I would not hesitate to recommend Jenny at Butterflies Holistic Occupational Therapy. Thank you for your help!

We saw Jenny initially for an assessment regarding handwriting and movement and had therapy sessions following this. We have recently also had a sensory assessment and therapy too. Jenny has such a cheerful and calm personality. My son has really enjoyed his sessions with her and she has always been so patient with him. The sessions really felt like lots of games for him and I have been so impressed by the variety of activities and the impact they have had in a short space of time. For me as a parent, Jenny was supportive and understanding from the start. She spent time listening to and discussing my concerns. Even when we were unable to have sessions, she stayed in touch. Her approach is fantastic and she recommended activities we could do in our own time, so sessions with her well focused. Jenny is amazing at what she does and I cannot recommend her enough.

Jenny came to see my 15yr old who had been recently diagnosed with post viral Chronic Fatique Syndrome after having Glandular fever. Jenny was friendly and put us at ease immediately. The sessions were very beneficial and Jenny gave us a greater insight into the condition which was easy to understand and made a lot of sense. The suggestions from Jenny were manageable and easy to implement for my daughter at home and school. We have seen some improvements in my daughters condition in the short time we have been seeing Jenny and wont hesitate to contact her again if and when needed.
