Overall experience and impression: quick service, great for making sure enough time to go into the theatre. Food was good, tad bit too small portion. Service during interval was quick and easy. We ordered dessert and drink beforehand - when we got to the table, dessert, tea and bill was waiting. Very efficient.
Great menu. Excellent food. However our waiter was clueless!! He got our order wrong. Wine was wrong. We had to refill our wine ourselves. And we were there just for dinner and not for the show so after 7pm, we were the only table. Felt we were forgotten. Did not ask us after deserts or after dinner dinner tea/coffes. It started really well when we started a round of drinks at the terrace. And the first waitress said we could leave our shopping bags at the table so we can look at the shop whilst waiting for the rest of family to come.
This is a much more convivial space to eat than the Paul Hamlyn Hall and a broader menu. I think the portions are generous and the food is delicious and clearly freshly cooked to order. It’s entirely possible to have just a started and come back at the interval for pudding. The wine is the same price as most similar restaurants with half bottles available. Amazing views and friendly service. It’s the perfect base for seeing a ballet.
Booked for 2 course lunch which considering where we were was great value for money. The views and service were amazing. 3 out.pf the 4 had steak and 1 the aubergine bake. All cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.
Fantastic lunch for husbands birthday. Lunch 2 courses £24, 3 courses £32. Wine is quite pricey, but it's London. Waitress was lovely and friendly and brought over chocolate for my husband which was a nice touch. Would definitely go again.
This Could be a fantastic venue but inexperienced staff, very pricey menu, 2 out of three cracked and or dirty glasses means that this is not on my to visit again list. Please can someone explain why the bar on the terrace does not serve the same beer as the bar inside only 50 ft apart. Also at £8.50 for a glass of very average wine served in dirty glasses I’d expect table service. Also when I rejected two beer glasses for being hot the lady behind the bar took great exception to the request for a cold glass. Will not be back as there are too many good venues in this area, who know how to clean glasses and serve cold beer.
Slightly disappointing experience overall. We were kept waiting on arrival as the "host" was chatting to a friend. Service was variable. Decent price for set lunch. Food mostly good but some of the dishes quite salty.
Went here for the first time what a fantastic find. The open air terrace is perfect with stunning skyline views, and also great views of covernt garden
First time and loving this bar, sat outside, was lucky to get some seats and then moved into the covered area. Small bar set up to get drinks from. Great views of Covent Garden.
