My little one was always happy here and loved the Pirate Ship in the Garden! The team are fantastic and always go the extra mile. They think of fantastic activities and always keep the children busy. They are always going to little walks in the community which my little one loved when here. Thank you for all you do!

If I could rate more than 5 stars for the nursery I would. All 3 of my children have attended here, the youngest are still there at the moment. The staff form such lovely bonds with the children, encouraging them and helping them to become confident and happy. The fairly recent management changes are welcomed, the manager is professional and clearly experienced in running a successful nursery.

Butterflies Day Nursery is a place you don’t want your child to have to ever leave. The professionalism and knowledge from the staff (pre school) is outstanding and they go above and beyond to care for your child. We have had a few issues with management in the past however the new manager seems to be settling in well, and has implement many positive changes within the setting. The only negative is the lack of information regarding your child’s progress, but I think this was down to previous management, and I have every faith that the new manager will get this right!! I have and would recommend this nursery 10/10

My daughter used to go here. Now I give it 2 stars because the staff here were lovely, but apart from that ... I can't say much else. I must of asked on at least 6-7 times during her time there about putting a referral off for ASD or some kind of pediatric help as I felt she had signs to only have them tell me they will and nothing came of it. When she left we got her file and after 2 years there was literally had no work or pictures to show for it. Re arranged graduation without even telling us and we turned up with our daughter and she was absolutely distraught. Weeks later we had graduation and they didn't even have enough gowns for all the children so they all had to change out of gowns and swap with other children. As I said planning is not in there forte

My little girl has recently started this nursery and she has always been happy but she has become the most confident happiest little girl and has come on so much in just a month ! The girls are just lovely as is the manager Fiona … if there’s any problems it’s never too much to ask for help they really do care a lot about the children and it’s clear to see my little girl absolutely loves going there ! It’s fun , comfortable well run and most of all a safe place other than home for them x

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. APPALLING STAFF MANAGEMENT. I was forced to give one star by Google, please read my reasons below: On Wednesday 2nd November 2022, I rang Butterflies Private Day Care Nursery to book a nursery visit for that afternoon, quite understandably I was told that it was too short notice and that we could come and view the nursery on Friday 4th November 2022. We agreed for the visit to take place at 3:30pm so as not to disturb the nursery's routine (children's naps etc). Nonetheless, we arrived today at 3:30pm and to my horror we were told to LEAVE. I was absolutely disgusted by our treatment at the Butterflies Private Day Nursery, upon arrival we entered the premises following another parent who had been waiting for a considerable amount of time outside in cold (just like us), we could both hear unsettling cries whilst we waited which put me off immediately. Once we entered (which was actually a safeguarding issue in retrospect as anyone could get into the building, since we followed this parent inside), he went straight up to collect his child and another member of staff came down once she had been alerted to the fact we were inside (my mother had to go back out and ring the bell). We waited in the hall expecting to meet the manager but instead a rather flustered looking woman approached me saying, 'I'm in a really important meeting, there isn't anyone to show you around' as though we were AN INCONVENIENCE. I was mortified, as you can imagine, life with a toddler is not easy and we had planned our whole day around the nursery visit i.e. when to put my son down for his nap, when to eat, have we got enough time to eat before we leave, nappy changes, packing the car etc. We had also travelled a fair distance to the nursery as we do not live nearby. I explained our situation and I got the same robotic response. NO apology. No attempt at rearranging the visit. The same short reply of 'I'm in a really important meeting.' I was shocked that as a DEPUTY manager, there was no time in her morning to check the bookings list. I emphasised that someone should have let us know and her reply again was, 'I had no idea about the visit.' This is simply not good enough and is unequivocally in no way an acceptable justification. It's appalling customer service, especially when your nursery could have benefited from nearly £1000 a month of my income. Worse than this was the fact we were then told to LEAVE, when we challenged this woman's position and asked for the senior manager she said she was the manager in charge. She hadn't even introduced herself and certainly didn't make us feel welcome but almost shooed us away on arrival. I had questioned her prior to this, as I found it incredulous that NO ONE in the entire building could spare 10 minutes of their time to show potential customers for the next 3 years around. 3 YEARS worth of potential business for Just Childcare, thrown away in seconds. I find incomprehensible that someone in the Just Childcare company has claimed to put this lady in charge of a NURSERY of infants. To put it simply, I'd have got more professionalism, intelligence and compassion from a garden tool than this member of staff. I'm unsure of your staff training protocols but this seriously needs improving, I dread to think that this member of staff is in CHARGE of a staff cohort let alone allowed to train them and furthermore responsible for children aged 0-3 years. It goes without saying that her poor communication skills, terrible manner and rude, unprofessional attitude left me utterly horrified and I hope to never experience this again. I could go so far as to suggest that she may have been racist (as myself and my son are mixed race and of Caribbean origin), by the way the situation was handled and the looks that were given, but with that said, I hope that you will address this as a matter of urgency and insist that ALL nursery visits are confirmed with the prospective parents BEFORE they arrive.

I can't recommend the amazing team at Butterflies highly enough and I trust them completely with my little people. The children love going there and learn so much and have fun and learning experiences every day. We are always excited to hear what they've been up to and what events are coming up next!
