After only one session of doing this karate, I have already learned so much and the people there are so welcoming. The sensei there are brilliant and they sure do work hard. I truly would recommend to anyone willing to take up karate or a form of fighting. Definitely a 5 stars for me and Red Tiger Karate deserves it!
The club and setup is great! We go to Stockton Heath Primary class and Sensei Jon is wonderful. He balances the structure and learning of the class with bits of fun and I’m always amazed that he can teach to so many different ages and skills in the same class! I love that it’s flexible and you can pay as you go because things always come up last minute but it doesn’t leave you out of pocket. Couldn’t recommend it more!
My son started with Red Tiger karate just over a year ago. We were recommended by a friend and we weren’t disappointed! Sensei Jon and Senpai Rich do an amazing job and are both very patient and have a great way with the kids (and adults!). They make the classes fun, the format is great a good warm up the technical teaching part and a fun and frantic game of dodgeball to end with! My son goes twice a week and thoroughly enjoys it. A good exercise class which also teaches good values and morals.
My son and I train together at Stockton Heath dojo. We started our Shotakan Karate training at this dojo a little over a year ago (Dec ‘22) when my son was 6. Thanks to Sensei Jon’s and Sempai Rich’s expert instructions we’ve now gone through the first 2x belts and working towards our yellow belt. Jon is so good with the little ones (and not so little ones!), and since starting not only has our fitness improved and we’ve learned a new skill but my son’s self confidence has really rocketed. Thanks so much Sensei Jon and the team, we live training here.
Son has been attending club for many years and continues to love. Class is fun and stimulating whilst consistently building up his skill level. Would highly recommend Jon’s class but have also been really impressed with all instructors who are both child and adult friendly.
I've trained at Red Tiger for many years both at this class and others around Manchester. The club is friendly and open to students of all ages. All of the instructors are professional and friendly and great at teaching.

After my son's karate club closed down he started here and although it was a different style and had to take a few good steps back in belts it was a blessing in disguise. This local club is absolutely brilliant. Sensei Jon and the rest of the crew are fantastic with the kids ( and adults ) and have given my son a huge boost in both confidence and fitness. The dojo is run with the upmost professionalism and energy that brings the best out in the students and my son thoroughly enjoys the classes.
