   Needed a battery replacement on my Google Pixel phone, it was just outside its warranty period and no longer able to hold a full days charge. Looked at a few guides online on how to replace the battery and most guides were explaining it's a little more complicated than most phones to change the battery, so I enquired at a few different places to get a few quotes. Pocket Geek quoted me £60 which was good value in my opinion, that's parts and labour included. So I factory reset the phone and take it into the store, really friendly staff, quick booking in process, they say they can have my phone repaired in an hour, I go back an hour later and it's been fixed. Get the phone home and there's a vertical line down the screen. I know from researching the repair process of changing the battery that there are very delicate cables that you must be very careful not to damage when lifting the screen to get to the battery, so I email the store saying there's a problem with the screen and they seem very surprised and quickly jump to it potentially being a software or motherboard issue. I take the phone into the store, and again I can't fault them for being very friendly at the store, the phone gets booked in and I leave it with them to take their time and get to the bottom of the issue. So dropped it off on the Wednesday, by Friday I ask for an update and they're going to replace the screen at no extra cost but are clear about washing their hands with any other issues further down the line by saying (copy and paste from email) "any other issues that may arise would increase the likelihood of internal issues which caused the battery issue" I have a problem with that statement, batteries are consumable parts, and they have a finite life of charges and discharges which wears the capacity of the cells. There were no internal issues with the phone before Pocket Geek opened it.. now apparently there's an internal fault which caused the battery problem...really? I wasn't going to leave a review because Pocket Geek was decent enough to change the screen (which I believe they damaged) free of charge, but a few weeks after the repair I noticed my speaker (for calls) is no longer working, I have to knock or bash the top of the phone on a table and then restart the device for it to work again. The speaker is a component that can be disturbed or damaged when taking the screen off, coincidence? I don't think so. TLDR: They're friendly, and good value, but I believe they've caused problems with my phone which they won't admit to and are too quick to jump to other factors being the fault.

   Lovely staff members. I had no hope for my ma book after giving a very high quote at you know where. Right away they reassured me about the service and were upfront about the cost. I paid less than half the price I was quoted elsewhere. So happy I saved a lot of money and now I can enjoy my laptop once again.

   These guys are AMAZING, whenever I've been in there, whether it was for iphone, ipad or other phone related issues. They always give honest, no nonsense advise, and so far always managed to solve my tech problems at a fraction of the price quoted in the Apple Store in Touchwood. Last time I went in, my charging cable had broken and a bit was stuck in my ipad. They actually got dentist tools out and managed to get the bits of cable out that had broken off. And they didn't charge me a penny! Highly recommended, super service, always with a smile and a "can do" attitude. Thank you Pocket Geek Tech Repair Team!
