I took a MacBook Air in a few months ago as it was not turning on; paid a small fee to have the issue diagnosed. I was informed that it was liquid damaged and due to the spec of the laptop, I could be looking at Ā£400+ for a new main board. I took the laptop to another local shop who diagnosed as just a faulty charging port and the battery had ran flat. Replaced the port for Ā£60 and the laptop has been working ever since. Staff at ABS were polite and proactive in getting back to me so there are positives, but something clearly went wrong with the diagnosis. Seem to have a lot of good reviews so maybe a one-off?
ABS computers, I have been going to them for years off and on with any problems with my laptop or computer. Nothing to much trouble for the staff. They will explain to you on the phone what needs doing and if it can be done. It's not expensive at all for repairs, although depending on the problem. I would recommend this place to anybody with issues with your laptop, PC. Thank You.
Fantastic service! I had a problem with my very old tower pc and within 24 hours everything was sorted. I upgraded to a laptop and Simon was wonderful at transferring all the data from the old pc to the laptop. He even came and set it all up for me and explained how to use it. Brilliant for someone like me that is a techno dinosaur! I can't thank you guys enough. Definitely be passing your details onto all my family and friends. Used a few times over several years, had a refurbished laptop off them which is still going. Used them today for the biggest pile of photocopying which was done in a couple of hours for a fair price too. Always helpful, reasonably priced, would recommend.
