Requested a breakdown of a quote and was told ‘Sorry we just give a price ..... We don't break costs down ..it's usually accepted etc... regards Stu’ so they just expect you to get ripped off and not ask question. I’d recommend you avoid them.

Excellent service from S P Taylor. Rang around 10am with a leaking toilet problem, Stuart had a couple of his guys round by 2pm and all fixed by 4pm. They were very pleasant and clearly proffesional, no mess and at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic service. Fitted two designer radiators to perfection. Came on time to quote took on board what I wanted and researched the designer radiators to ensure I got what i wanted. Great communication throughout to confirm details. Punctual on day of work, got straight to work and no stopping until completed. Very efficient and cleaned up after them and took away all the rubbish. No hesitation in recommending them. Very polite and professional. Great company to deal with. Will definitely be using again.
New boiler fit & relocation in my property. They were professional and tidy. Protection laid throughout the house on carpet & flooring and all questions answered. I needed a plumber to fix a problem with my boiler. I rang around for a few quotes and found that S P Taylor came out on top, for price, appointments and communication. The problem was fixed without any issues. I called them back a few months later for a boiler service, as l was very impressed. I have recommended S P Taylor to several friends and l would recommend him and his team to anyone who were unsure of a plumber.
We had been trying to get a local plumber to come & do a few plumbing jobs but never got called back. I pass S P Taylor's shop every day so decided to give them a try after also looking at their website, which is very clear & gives a good indication of prices. Stuart came took photos & sent quote via email. I have now had them twice as one of the jobs could not be completed first time around & Stuart did reduce cost of first job because of this. Very friendly plumbers, arrived at time given & would not hesitate to recommend or use again.
Booked these guys based on reviews, which were excellent, and I can see why. They scheduled me within a week of my call to fit a sink and unit in my kitchen. Paul and Carl were great. Explained everything very clearly and got on with the work with quiet competence. Now I could have got the job done a little cheaper but these guys left everything spotless, took the old unit away, replaced my stiff stop tap and then proceeded to precisely cut and fit the adjacent worktop. Wow, you get what you pay for and then some. A follow up call a week later to ask if I was happy and a well maintained shop front indicates a business that takes pride in what they do. I can't recommend these guys more highly.
Stuart arrived early for our appointment and spent a few mins confirming what work i wanted completing (replacement of every thermostatic radiator valve in the house + a radiator moving to make way for patio doors). The quote came in at what i thought was a very reasonable price and the two plumbers with with me less than 3 days later to complete the work. I was impressed by the fact they really made a concerted effort to tidy everything up even putting down plastic sheeting before walking through my house. Good workers good price and very well presented.
