Amazing Doggy birthday cake much bigger and better quality than the one's we have had in past from bigger companies. We live around 30 miles away and they even hand delivered it !!

I had ordered tickets for Santa paws via this bakery website, paid them directly, and got an email to say arrive at the bakery for collection of tickets. When I got there it was all was shut. The manager of the coffee shop across the road gave us your number and we called 3 times and left a voice message but no reply. There were no instructions as to how to get the tickets otherwise or where the Santa paws events was being held to go there directly. We ended up missing the event having driving 1.5 hours because of this lack of care towards customers. We brought 5 rescue dogs who were all disappointed and frankly have had tough enough of a life. No sign on the door to say where to redirect for the paid tickets. Nothing. Day was ruined. Dogs missed out on Santa paws. Inconsiderate and poor business sense -apparently the message saying they were closed was only put on Facebook. Those of us who don’t use Facebook therefore left in the dark. Please don’t use this cafe at any cost- unreliable and inconsiderate of dog owners. Many other people were walking outside wondering what was going on, with their dogs. The poor cafe owner next door assured he had nothing to do with that business and apologised to everyone on their behalf. Have asked for a refund but even at that - Christmas was ruined for these 5 poor rescue dogs. Disgusting.

We had an afternoon tea booked at Sherwood Forest, I’m sad to say the service was disappointing. When we arrived we were told there was a birthday party on so most the cafe was shut off for that. We were shown a table near the door but no where to tie our dog down and stop him escaping if any customers came in. The lady serving us made us feel welcomed and tried to accommodate us the best she could. She was very apologetic and offered to sit us where the birthday party was and asked if we would move once they arrived, not ideal but it meant he could roam freely once we blocked off the entrance with a coffee table sat on it’s side and a sign to stop him escaping through the door. I would highly recommend you provide a fixed and stable anchorage point to attach a dogs lead to, I’ve been to doggie cafes before that have this and it’s a lifesaver. Then we had the doggie afternoon tea, which was good, it was nicely set out on a board and my dog enjoyed his pup cup. Unfortunately the extra human afternoon tea we paid Β£20 for was very poor, made up of basic store bought cakes. (Flapjack squares, millionaires squares, small cupcakes and Mini loaf cakes) This is not an afternoon tea. I understand the description on the website states a sweet afternoon tea, but an afternoon tea does not solely consist of sweet treats, it is very sickly to have this many cakes for an afternoon tea. Other photos of the afternoon tea posted to social media contained savory offerings. The lady at the cafe did apologise and stated that she normally serves savory options including crisps and sausage roles etc. but due to the lack of communication, having not been made aware there was going to be an afternoon tea until the morning of the afternoon tea, she was unable to provide such savory options. The lack of communication made the afternoon tea feel poorly organised, having been an after thought. We approached the owner for a partial refund but she stated what we received was value for money, having included 2 hot drinks which apparently worth Β£7 each

Popped in to get an ice cream for our elderly spaniel. Ended up having a coffee and seat. Dog had an ice cream and sleep on the couch and we enjoyed a lovely coffee. Wonderful little place. When he wakes up, got some brownies to enjoy.

Took Sid here for a doggy pizza and he was not disappointed! He thoroughly enjoyed it. The human pizzas were good too. Would highly recommend!

Lots of different baked treats for dogs. Some toys for sale as well. Place to sit and have a drink with your dog. Lovely staff.
