An ideal location, being part of the service station complex. Super staff, friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable but was beginning to feel its age.

Little dated, but well equipped. Organised in a way that guests will not need staff other than to issue the keys and provide sheets, hot drinks caddy and towels. They were professional and kind. Sopping services were close, very close.

Traveling back from the Dordogne France. We had our touring caravan with us, and 2 dogs. We parked up in the car park, very tired nearly 12 midnight. My husband went to speak to the travel lodge to see if we could spend the night. The gentleman was very pleasant. We spent the night in the caravan it was very quite. I would highly recommend this place. The cost was Β£15. Thank you

Unfortunately my wife and I booked a night here and our stay really wasn’t pleasant, I say stay we actually left after one hour of being in the room! It was awful, hadn’t been cleaned and the toilet was dirty and had poo left sat in it which made the whole room smell. The bin had used sanitary products in them. The receptionist was nice and seemed to be concerned about what had happened even checked her herself and said sorry, considering we were there only an hour she said that the manager would call us the next day for a full refund or voucher for another hotel but we’ve heard nothing! I don’t like to complain but this was an awful experience!

Good location for a cheap stopover driving down the A1, the services are busy but has a lot to offer, albeit at the usual high prices. Parking outside the hotel is limited and often leads to lots of terrible parking next to your car but the nature of the place means this is unavoidable. The place is aged, think "spruced up 90's" vibe and you're there. The rooms are generally clean though the last stay I found a spot of blood on the duvet and had issues with ignorant guests staying there. It's a shame it would appear the hotel isn't patrolled at night as many staying there clearly need a good night sleep. Unfortunately this spoiled the experience there with them slamming doors and playing music and made the next days driving very difficult. The staff here are great but the hotel itself is beyond their roles there, in fact it's their service that makes us return. A tip for those who are light sleepers, the outside noise won't matter as much as the inside noise, though if you want a room not facing the A1 ask for a room with an odd number. As far as I know the even numbers are at the rear, the odd numbers at the front. Just be prepared for the chance that someone else staying there will cause problems due to the thin walls, the quality of stay vastly depends on who you have in your vicinity.

Handy location but in desperate need of a revamp, typical layout but so much wear and tear especially on the chrome work in the bathroom which was rusty. I wasn't really happy with the main security door being wedged open even when reception was unmanned.

I have always used travel lodge as I find them clean, basic accommodation which is good value. This hotel fulfilled all this criteria however is very dated and worn-out. New mattress was required and there were rusty fittings in bathroom that need work. The rest was perfect, including staff.

Normal type of Travelodge, staff friendly and helpful. Just don't follow the Sat nav, it follows an old address. It's now part of a service stop.

Great value. Quality and service that is aligned to the price. Clean hotel, friendly staff and a convenient location. Would stay again

Customer service was excellent. Rooms were the usual you would expect from a travelodge. A little aged in places but overall clean and we were incredibly grateful for availability with no pre-booking.
