   Waited till 5 days before the start of the year too tell me I was not coming back for another year because they don't think I will keep up with the work. Could have emailed me that 3 months earlier and given me a chance too find a different college. went for a year 4 days a week 1h 30min too get their never missed a day even the day where I had too go in for 25min lesson in the morning

   Very good. I have done taken several courses in the language and arts departments and found them friendly and very useful. I was only a little disappointed to see that there are not as many short and evening courses available as there have been in previous years.

   The Art and Design course is not what you would expect. Most of the work you do is PowerPoint making, and the tutors where very unclear of how you should make your PowerPoints and they weren’t around to help you with them either. You only study 3 different topics and then on your final project you have to make an even bigger PowerPoint. The thing that dissatisfied me was I was never told anything about there being so much computer work, I expected far more creative work instead of digital. As for Maths and English the tutors were off for multiple days and if you had to do both there was no time in between them and as someone who had 100% attendance I can’t agree with all the adversing that students who attend college more have better wellbeing because I found it very lonely there and hard to try and have a good time.

   Have been looking for a place for my son who was home educated to attend. This is a highly talked about college. Visited recently and Tamara showed us around. She was amazing and answered all of our questions. Lovely. We then went to the recent event to sign up for a course / do an interview and my lad was accepted for their brilliant Aspire programme. He was at Welcomefest yesterday and loved it. He’s made friends finally for the first time in years. I am super proud of him and am delighted in the helpful manner all staff have been with both of us and how they have agreed to put so many things in place for my son who has additional complex needs. Every staff member and student we’ve come across to date has been extremely pleasant. Thank you.

   The principal is an awful person and preferred to belittle students. It's shocking she had been allowed into the position when she demeaned students and was exsesively rude. No wonder the college has such negative feedback with her in power.

   Did 2 courses over 4 years, like any educational establishment it has pros and cons, but for anyone not wanting to do A-Levels, I’d recommend Southport College. I just wish there was more funding in the performing arts programme

   Great college did pre access course loads of support. staff even picked up I have Dyslexia and support was in place really quickly x few hic ups with English though but overall great college and proud to be a student of x even at 42
