Recently, our family member underwent a procedure under general anaesthetic. At just 11 years old, we were naturally very anxious and emotional — as any pet owner would be. Using GA always carries risks, and we were extremely worried. Thankfully, everything went perfectly. Our surgeon, Chelsea, and the entire team were outstanding. They even sent photo updates via WhatsApp, which was incredibly reassuring — especially knowing exactly when he was going under. A huge thank you to all the staff at this surgery for their professionalism and care. The outcome was completely positive. While the procedure wasn’t cheap, the cost was very reasonable compared to others, and our pet received 100% attention and care throughout. We’re so grateful and would absolutely recommend this clinic!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compassionate and Professional Care Shuttleworth Vets were incredibly kind and supportive when my cat became seriously ill. Although we sadly had to say goodbye, the team treated both my cat and me with genuine compassion and dignity throughout. I’ll always be grateful for the care they provided during such a difficult time

Please get a second recommendation before letting this vets kill your dog! This is not my usual vets i visited here as my dog hurt her foot in the area… the vet took a 2 minute look at my dog an told me I had 2 choices pay 8k for an MRI scan or euthanize your dog.. my dog wasn’t in any pain still eating, drinking and doing all the usual.. they offered I pay over £500 to keep my dog sedated to monitor her over night (she wouldn’t of made any difference in her recovery in 24hours) the vet then held my dog until I paid £105 for an injection (asif I was going to run off without paying) the vet told me he had referred another dog this morning got an 8k MRI an one last week an if you don’t have the money then that’s the only option no offer or X-ray etc .. my dog has now fully recovered after around 4 weeks! I’m so glad I didn’t leave my dog with them! Google helped me a lot an I kept her rested with alot of love an she’s now absolutely fine! When I expressed my concern to the manager about the lack of compassion the vet seemed to have dealing with such a serious situation was disgusting! I was asked to leave the vets which I was gladly on my way out anyway .. emotional blackmail at its finest! Go glad I trusted my gut instinct.

They look after our two dogs very well. One has had a bad year and the vets have always been helpful and attentive. Have always managed to get an appointment in a timely manner when needed.

Took our dog in to check for a urinary infection. Was checked over in the space of 3 mins with a urine strip test. Diagnosed with slight infection and given antibiotics. Was charged a ridiculous £180. Im sorry but I know vets aren’t the cheapest but Shuttleworth vets are beyond insane. We’ve had dogs for 20 years plus and never paid these prices. Only moved to this vets as moved area. Will be going back to previous vets or another.

Not best pleased, called at 7.30pm (website states they close at 8) because my cat was very lethargic and throwing up bile. Was told three times by both the receptionist and the nurse that they close soon, seemed more interested in getting home on time than helping. Very begrudgingly said if I was concerned and could get him in in the next 10 minutes they’d see him. Wasn’t asking for an appointment was just asking what would be the best thing to do till morning since internet had conflicting advice (feed him bland food, don’t feed him, get him to drink, don’t give him anything, take him to emergency etc) Chose this vets because it was the closest in proximity with good reviews but I think I’ll be looking a bit further afield now. Edit: they have also labelled him as “aggressive and unable to handle” in his notes - not once has he ever tried to bite or scratch he gets squirmy when picked up but they’ve never had to use gloves or sedation when looking at him so not sure how they’ve come to that conclusion.

Today i had our much loved cat Jack put to sleep. It was a horrible experience but the care and understanding made by Hammad Sarwar made it bearable. He was so lovely and caring and made it such a soothing atmosphere. Thank you so much for making the worst experience bareable.
