Update, the message said ensure you are there at 3. No way did I comment on anyone's size. Stop filling in blanks with your rubbish. I turned up early so I wasn't late actually or got in trouble again and I literally didn't turn up with any attitude, I didn't even say anything Steve did! How you can say no-one has a reason to be late is beyond me. But yes good luck with both of your attitudes. The last reviews are absolutely spot on. 0 star isn't even an option to choose or i would have left it. It now appears there's various others with similar situations. So to make me feel like I was 5 and being put on the naughty step was no way needed. To be told "I need to have words with you" on arrival wasn't either. The awful messages I received wasn't funnily enough, needed either. Demanding I pay an additional night due to my inconvenience, also by bank transfer so you didn't receive card fees for you refusing to give me my dog back. Absolutely no way would you get a single penny more out of me. Wanting me to retaliate before me saying no, I just want my dog and I'm going. The lady was lovely, but no idea what planet the man was on. Aggression doesn't run a business, nor does it allow you to keep one. Theres zero reason to speak to people the way you do. I wasn't even going to bother leaving a review, until I've now been the 5th person to comment on a post with nearly the same story. As per everyone else I got a message at 11.04 saying I was no longer able to collect my dog due to being closed as you shut at 11. So it would have to be after 3pm and an additional nights stay. I was on my way and instantly rang but they refused to answer my call, yet continued to send messages even though they were closed. I genuinely did write it down in my calendar wrong and put 11.30 instead of 11. I was made to think that I was totally useless and even had to get my husband to come out of work to collect my son from school, because I couldn't be in two places at the same time as i was told to make other arrangements. I was literally going to arrive there in 6 minutes. But no they were closed and wasnt going to help because it was my fault. On arrival I got there early because I was demanded to be there at exactly 3pm, no earlier and no later. The sign was left up saying closed so I just sat waiting patiently in my car until it was eventually changed, to be given the oh can't you see I've changed it attitude. Yes I can see you've changed it, but you also told me not to enter until exactly 3pm. So which is it? I'm either allowed to enter early or I'm not? I totally refused to engage in his wanted argument and just asked for my dog. I sacrificed the deposit on my future booking that I cancelled due to the awful attitude I received, in exchange for paying nomore to someone so ungrateful. Unfortunately that attitude will end up meeting the wrong person one day, just pleased it wasn't me. I've never felt so awkward being in a place where someone could put me on the spot and loose their rag at me over MY dog, who you have no right to keep! I came away literally shaking and disgusted on how he can speak to people. Yes as you've said you've got a business to run. But no other business speaks to people in that way. I'm so pleased we've found somewhere else that actually makes us feel wanted and grateful to have our dog stay with them. Please don't bother coming back with the whole, we've never had your dog stay with us rubbish because you have and our dogs photo is still on your Facebook page that you've blocked me from. If you would like to remove her photo from your page, that would be very kind of you. Because shes not pleased to stay there anymore like it states. This is a page for reviews and this review on this page is exactly that.

Lovely experience using (any) kennels for the first time! They reassured me as I was very nervous leaving Roscoe for the first time since his adoption. You can tell the staff prioritise the animals in their care and ensure a strict regime to allow them to settle into a routine. Roscoe clearly enjoyed himself and was rather tired out on his routine. I feel much better about a longer staff in a couple of months. Thank you.

They looked after our dogs and cat really well. not phased by our big dogs (rottie and rottie cross)and genuinely seemed to enjoy having them in their care. the cat is usually quite anxious when away from home but he's had no issues and has come home happy. cannot recommend enough. they really put my mind at ease during the drop off especially as the pups seemed to warm to them immediately

Joanna and Steve are fabulous. My two rotti crosses adore them. The pups always come home looking happy and healthy. On the car ride to drop them off my older dog realises where we are and gets very excited. I used to get very anxious about leaving my animals at kennels but not with these two lovely people. All the while we live in and around Scunthorpe we will always use Newdowns!
