I have just resumed aquafit classes at Klassics after 6 weeks absence due to a broken toe and am so glad to be back. I love these classes, whether it is with Laura or Emma. Thank you both for the adaptations while I am getting back to full use of that foot - you’ll soon be seeing me my usual 4 times a week.

Just joined this little gem of a gym a few weeks ago, first time I went was as a quest i was made to feel so welcome by the other members and the staff, if you want a posers gym then this is not for you, members are everyday down to earth people that want to get some exercise in without worrying about what they look like and what they should or shouldn't be wearing. Swimming pool is not big but adequate, steam room and sauna is being updated so can't comment on that as not yet used it but looking forward to it when I do. There are few things that could be looked at but not major, hair dryer in the changing room has been broken for a while the clock on the wall needs batteries and towels (paper )for wiping your hands after being to the toilet would be nice. The aquafit is great two different instructors both great with different routines which is nice. Tried Yin Yoga for the first time and would definitely recommend it. The staff I have meet have been lovely and kind. I would definitely recommend this gym (not too much as I wouldn't want it to get to crowded and loose its uniqueness.)

For all the people who have left negative reviews about this place, thank you for no longer coming here. It’s a gym, it’s not a place to help you get over your inadequacies in life. The opening hours are clear to see, yes they run classes outside of normal opening hours, but it doesn’t give you a right to turn up and do as you please. The gym is fully equipped, and if you are wise, you can often have the place to yourselves. Laura, Jess, Emma and Gareth are consummate professionals. If you are part of the social media photography community, please do not come here. We are ordinary people who like to exercise, nothing more nothing less.

I accidentally made an overpayment today after I had cancelled my contract and it had ended. Laura who works there for her Nan whom I believe owns the gym told me today they can’t refund my payment. They are breaking the law as this is unjust enrichment and I now have the hassle of taking them to court because of their ignorance. Not a good way to treat your members so avoid at all cost

I joined this gym less than a month ago and I'm already cancelling my membership after being spoken to today like something on the bottom of someone's shoe. I arrived around 9:40, only to be scolded Infront of a room full of people, snapped at and spoken to extremely abruptly that the gym wasn't open yet (until 10am). I was made to leave despite the gym being open for classes, just not to use the gym itself. It would not have been an issue to let me carry on and quietly approach me later for a conversation, so that I know for next time, but I had to be humiliated in front of everyone. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I joined because I needed somewhere local where I could nip to for a quick workout around my infant daughter's feeds/naps, yet you can't go before 10am on a weekend or after 8pm during the week. This gym isn't suitable for those with young families, which is probably why it's mostly older people. I paid for a diamond membership but times are still very limited and the manager is very rude. Some staff there like Gaz are lovely and the pool etc are nice too. I am and was a paying customer and a level of customer service skill is required for a job like this. I left the gym in tears and have still been made to pay 3 months more membership despite not being able to face going again. Just not okay at all.

Brilliant little gym. Great for those who prefer a more relaxed gym vibe rather than a posey place. Staff are a very helpful and really friendly. Highly recommended.

Made the mistake of not cancelling my standing order and they refused to refund. Jackie gives the impression of being nice and friendly but like many others she wants your money first and foremost. There are much better gyms around——join them not this one

Tried a few times to get a membership with great difficulty. All I want is to swim a few days a week in my lunch hour. Apparently I can only take out a full membership to include the gym and classes. I don’t want to do either. So I’ve been told it’s £35 or £45 a month depending on off peak or on peak hours- with 3 months contract. I’ve asked could I pay for one swim to trial the pool as it’s quite small. I’ve been told I can only do that if I know a member? They seem very happy to walk away from business and make it difficult for new customers.
