I can’t thank Helen Sutton at Carpenters enough for the work she did on my claim. My case became unexpectedly complicated due to issues outside of her control, but Helen went above and beyond to make sure everything was fully resolved and that nothing was overlooked. She was professional, patient, and extremely proactive — she chased matters relentlessly, kept me informed, and made sure both the injury claim and vehicle damage were dealt with correctly before the case was concluded. It genuinely felt like she was on my side throughout, and her support made a stressful situation much easier to deal with. Thanks to Helen’s hard work and determination, my claim was brought to a successful conclusion with a great outcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Carpenters, and especially Helen Sutton, to anyone needing legal assistance after an accident.

Ref: SOU0964/16159 when is my case going to be resolved? Vehicle was written off. Was paid by insurer at the time for vehicle estimation. no more than 2-3 weeks to process. But yet carpenter group has taken 13months to sort my injury claim and recoup my excess from the third party. I sent over full statement as requested and dash cam footage. Contacted through phone, email with case the handler and reception with no response. Your portal non existent response back. This is becoming a joke now. Seeing a lot of people with same or similar review.

Absolutely poor service, been with them since July and have heard nothing! What should have been a very straightforward case SOU1131/12810 has turned into no communication, no replies to many emails sent, no answer when you try to call them and no response through their message function on the online portal. When I finally get through to them I will be cancelling the claim and going with another solicitor with a proven track record of great communication. This should have been dealt with, within the first 3 months now coming up to 6 months and no response!

Leaving a review in the hopes I actually get anything from Carpenters. For context: my accident was in 2022. I have tried to get in contact but have not received correspondence since 28th August, when I was told I would receive court proceeding related documents and other important documents the same day. I have not even received another email since this date, where I was also told my claim would be progressed quickly. I tried to accept the offer I got. You told me it didn’t cover your fees or the psychological treatment I had - which clearly wasn’t good enough. Having to deal with you every few months and beg for a simply email response, brings back every drop of trauma I experienced in my accident. I just want my compensation. Please could my claim be investigated immediately? The last year, after years of being strung along, are now ridiculous. With no end in sight, I am losing hope. I have moved house 4 times since my claim was transferred to you which can only be described as embarrassing. Please could I receive a response, or any form of acknowledgement, of anything? If I do not receive an email within the next 5 working days, and signs of my claim actually being ‘quickly progressed’, I will seek further action, including a formal complaint. To anyone considering using Carpenters, don’t bother at all

Been great from the start, as soon as my case manager David Walmsley was assigned it was as swift and well managed process to my settlement. Can't thank him enough he made the whole process easy and help me understand all aspects and options of my claim. From start to finish very professional and a nice genuine person to talk to. I wish more solicitors was as efficient as these from placing claim to settlement less than 3 months.

Very mixed experiences with Carpenters with a process that has taken over 3 and a half years. The first claim handler was very disappointing and frustrating to deal with. Once my claim got passed onto the next claim handler, my injuries was actually seen too and I got the treatment I required. Although time still seemed to drag in regards to simple administration tasks of gathering my medical records. (Over 6 months to get a report in one instance) Also no concern was given when I was sent for a medical assessment, as Carpenters knew my anxiety over traveling to send me to a place that had heavy traffic but wasn't easily accessible by public transport. Only to be informed by the practitioner he had more accessible offices nearby. Finally after more time waiting and a few insulting offers, i was passed onto a 3rd claim handler. Well I can only say that Simon Taylor has been amazing. He actually read my full case and called me to discuss a decent settlement that would be a fair outcome. Mr Taylor was than proactive in contacting the 3rd party and getting a settlement agreed. Something that took a few days. Thank you Simon.

Extremely bad accident admin case managers don’t think I even spoke to a lawyer. Waiting patiently for 4 years back and forth third party accepted liability car insurance put me onto these bad money grabbers. They lack care or pay attention to their clients it seems. I was forced to accept an offer I declined. I was injured in collision and living through injuries now. They disbelieved me and held onto my papers not answering my calls or emails. When I refused to accept a out of court settlement I said I would represent myself they kept sitting on my case. I had more than 3 case handlers because they left the firm and could t bother to inform me despite sending communications asking what stage my claim was at. Only when 3 years was near they made contact to try and put together my file ignoring my medical. Today I decided to represent my case at the final leg and they wrote to court telling them That I was obstructive and they couldn’t work with me. Imagine for months and years I have been chasing them. But because the amount third party offered I didn’t accept I wished to do it on my own. They wrote damaging things about me to discredit my case. I now have to undo all the evil work they said about me because They made so many blunders on my case. I will be in court soon so wish me luck. After I will complain to ombudsman they need to be struck off. This is not a legal firm shambles. I threatened to leave over a year go I should of done so. Please move your case with them they are not experienced enough or give a dam to work in your interest instead they accuse you of lying or exaggerating. No stars really.

I’m not sure where all these reviews are coming from, I honestly can’t fault them with my ongoing claim, my car was written off 29/07/22, small mix up with my contact number which was the fault of the insurance people handing the wrong number over to them, but I rang them after 1 week, call was handled amazingly well and the woman was really nice and gave time, appointment to see a Dr was booked within a few days, physio commenced the week later and have just finished my 8 sessions, rang them to ask about signing documentation a few days later and it was realised my file handler had left and was swiftly assigned to Lisa Draper, so far she has kept me I feel well updated as things progress, received an update on 15/09/22, stating all that is left to do is for me to give consent for medical reports to be forwarded to the 3rd party and the 3rd party have 4 weeks to make an offer, received a letter that needed to be forwarded to my representative, which I did yesterday and received an email back today to acknowledge she has received it. So far I can’t fault the service after hearing so many others claims from different lawyers are still ongoing 18 months on and they have not yet had a medical assessment. Time will tell how quickly the claim comes through, however so far, I feel it’s being processed in a timely way and updates are given as and when they receive them. And no I do not work for carpenters as so many people have suggested good reviews are from people who work there.

This company is absolutely.... I don't even have the words for them. I was in a non-fault accident in October 2021. My insurer let me know the case had been closed as a non-fault on January 22nd and that Carpenters would contact me, but they didnt. I had to contact them! It is 3 months later and there still isnt an outcome, nor a cheque for all the payments owed to me. As I type this, I've been on a 55 minute hold, trying to reach them. I dont have a choice but to wait, but If I have to leave my insurer because of them, then I will. Absolute Trash!
