Had the most amazing and wholesome experience! Stayed at the Shepherds Hut for 2 nights and the atmosphere is incredible. Close enough to walk from Hope train station (30min on great pavement), and to walk to Castletown - filled with cute coffee shops, souvenirs, and right in the heart of the peak district. It was sunny on the first day and we took the chance to walk up to Mam Tor and other peaks in the surroundings. When it rained on the second day, it was the perfect peaceful llace to nap while the fire was on, hearing the rain, the sheep and the horses nearby. Can't wait to go back!!!

We stayed in Harry Eyre Cottage for 4 nights in the middle of February. The cottage was really well located. You can go for walks straight from the cottage of from other points nearby. There are several caves in walking distance as well. We really enjoyed a fire place and the view from the windows. Highly recommend it!

We stayed in the Harry Eyre cottage for 2 nights in early November. The cottage was well situated and very well presented. It was clean, and tidy, and had all the amenities we needed for a cosy weekend stay. (Does need a pint glass or 2). Firewood was provided and was £5 per extra basket. We used 2 extra baskets of wood as it was a quite cold weekend. Maeve was a great host. I would thoroughly recommend staying.

Wonderful place. So peaceful and relaxing. Great walks and a very friendly environment. The owner, Maeve is very nice and does a super job keeping the house and cottages in great condition. Highly recommended for a stay.

A beautiful place, fairly secluded but within a good walking distance of rural villages and magnificent countryside!

Lovely cottage perfectly located in the heart of such remarkable scenery, with a friendly and welcoming owner and 2 of the cutest dachshunds. The perfect retreat.

Fantastic cottage. It has everything that you'd need for a stay in the Peak district and it's close to some fantastic restaurants, shops and of course hiking! Highly recommend!
