   I chose S Fearn Plumbing and Heating as they are a Which trusted trader and I wanted a reliable company to do a complete renovation of my bathroom. Steve discussed the work that was needed which entailed, plasterwork, tiling, installation of shower, toilet and basin and decoration and offered a very professional and friendly service. They did a fantastic job and I can thoroughly recommend them and say that they are worth waiting for as any good company will have a waiting list. There were a couple of glitches but not of their making and Steve handled the issues politely and firmly. There was always someone available to discuss progress and answer questions. Shaun the plumber did a superb job and he's a friendly and very tidy presence in the house. Of the other trades I'd particularly single out the tiler and the decorator although everyone did an excellent job. I am delighted with my beautiful new bathroom.

   At the time, the installation itself went smoothly, but the issues that followed were not handled well. Firstly, where the old boiler was a removed, holes were left in the side of my house, which were open to the elements. This was later resolved, however then an incorrectly fitted pipework burst, flooding my basement with very hot water which went over the electrics, appliances, walls and floor. Ownership of the issue, and that this was unacceptable service, only came after I sent a formal complaint, and after back and forth with the owner it didn’t feel like the seriousness of the situation was acknowledged. No one had apologised or prioritised me after the incident to come out and fix the issue, nor offer to clear up the damage the next day. Instead, fit me in after prioritising a new customer. Although I was later offered a dehumidifier and for someone to mop up the pool of water left on the floor, by then I felt it was easier to sort it myself given the experience I’d had. Had I not been at home that night, the damage would have been even more significant and posed a serious safety risk to the house. Overall, I don’t feel the situation was managed properly, which is disappointing after choosing to paying a higher quote for what I expected to be a quality service.

   Amazing experience with S Fearn Plumbing. The whole booking process was nice and easy, and I was kept well informed all the way up to the appointment. Shaun was assigned to our job and what a lovely chap he was. My hot water wasn’t working properly, and my loft shower has never had great pressure. Shaun not only fixed the hot water issue but also sorted the shower and brought the pressure back too. Genius — he’s the first person to fix it in five years. I’ll definitely be using S Fearn Plumbing again for future jobs. Thanks Shaun and the team.

   We have recently had a complete bathroom makeover carried out by S Fearn Plumbing and Heating Ltd. The project was well put together, managed and executed. It has been a good experience. Importantly, the team was ever conscious about being in our home and took great care. We now have a new bathroom.....all that is left is for us to roll up our sleeves and get on with decorations.

   From Start to finish the service was superb. Steve surveyed the work and once we agreed terms, I knew when the product would be delivered and when the engineer would arrive. Timing was as agreed. We live in a 130 year old house and many trades aren't too keen to take on projects with the unseen problems, but not the case for Steve Fearn Plumbing and Heating. Two showers needed replacing and the engineer David was professional, honest and more than capable with dealing with unseen problems that can occur in an old property. He would always ask politely if we were happy to adjust things due to the odd measurements of an old property. I was impressed as it is straightforward in a new build but awkward in an old property. He completed the work professionally and acurately and before time. We had an excellent tiler, Loz, who basically looked at the work, got on with it and left.. Job done perfectly.    Really impressed with Steve after using him on recommendation. After being very responsive and helpful on the phone, he and his colleague Ian were on time, well presented, polite and friendly. They were very understanding of our needs accommodating some additional work outside of their direct expertise at my request to boot. The plumbing work they did was excellent and they cleaned up after themselves really well too. I will definitely use him again!
