I feel really let down by Silver Saints. I used them a few years ago and they were brilliant but this time it's been a really bad service. I waited 3/4 weeks for a quote (simple jobs around the house) and even then I had to chase at least 2/3 times. I asked if another handyman was available to do the job and no response. I've been very patient but unfortunately had to go with another service. It's very disappointing and really hope things improve.

I hired Silver Saints to look at a few issues in my home, specifically a kitchen extractor fan, two bathroom fans, and a toilet flush. While the handyman did attend, the advice given was not ideal. My primary complaint concerns the kitchen extractor fan, which had a speed regulation issue. The handyman insisted that buying parts "wasn’t worth it." He advised buying a brand new unit for £379 and quoted an additional £228 for labour. I did not move forward with the work and investigated it myself. With basic troubleshooting, I identified the fault, ordered a replacement motor for £148.40, and fitted it easily. The quote from Silver Saints was four times the actual cost of the repair. This "replace rather than repair" attitude was a pattern throughout the visit. I was told there was "absolutely nothing" he could do about a weak flush and that the entire bathroom would need to be torn out and redone to fix it. For the other bathroom fan, He got it working by "wiggling some wires" but offered no actual fix, simply telling me I should replace the entire unit. If you are looking for genuine repair skills and troubleshooting, I cannot recommend this company. They seem far too eager to recommend expensive, unnecessary replacements rather than performing cost-effective repairs.

First time customer for this company. I wanted some shelves put on my wall asap and using the online booking service, I was only able to find one engineer named Mohammed to be available on a Friday late afternoon to do the job. I was sceptical about booking this time as in the past I have had handymen services cancel on Friday afternoons with the main excuse 'my vehicle has broken down.' But seeing I wanted this asap, I booked it. Lo and behold Friday afternoon 5pm comes along and I get the text as predicted that the engineer can't come due to a broken down vehicle. Rolling eyes moment. Thankfully, Rachel at the company organised a lovely gentleman called Tom to arrive the next day and complete the job. Tom did a wonderful job and was very courteous and professional. From my experience, if Tom is available to book, go for it.

Having accepted the booking date & time offered Friday 14 November at 2pm, no one turned up. The phone lines weren't manned when I tried to call and no one replied to my emails. I eventually received a text hours later. Very poor altogether. I subsequently booked with Aussie Handyman Services and the experience could not have been more different, I would recommend them!

Buyer beware. This company will charge a “survey fee” of £42 which wasn’t pre agreed or notified of, before doing any work, if you happen to get a handyman who turns up unprepared. I had small job with sofa spring clips needing repairing. The Saint turned up late and had no idea what the job was despite explicit description and photos given prior. He then said he didn’t have the clips needed and left after 10 min. I then got a surprise invoice for a survey fee of £42. This was with no work being done. Have complained and asked question which were completely ignored. Their response was to send me the invoice again and I am now being bullied into paying. The actual job would have only taken 10min and will end up costing £100. They could have easily resolved this but instead have displayed the worst customer service and complaint handling process I have ever experienced. Silver saints you have now lost a client.

MONIES TAKEN WITHOUT CONSENT. Invoice for job was in dispute due to sub standard works as well as disregard for personal property. Silver Saints however have used bank details previously provided for alternative works to settle a disputed invoice. External door was not correctly fitted, PPE discarded over terrace as well as other waste, damage to ironmongery ,along with other poor workmanship issues. Images provided illustrate the sub standard works, the greater issue though being the payment taken without consent.
