This is a continuation of my husbands chapter one review previously posted. Chapter 2 One week after the new panoramic sunroof was installed by Liberty Caravans it rained and our caravan was flooded due to rain coming through the badly fitted sunroof. Soft furnishings and cushions were soaked as was all the electrics under the seats and the panoramic sunroof blind. We had no choice but to return to Liberty Caravans for them to rectify the issues. When we got the caravan back we noticed the sunroof blind still damaged and extra white sealer had been applied to the top of the sunroof rain channel in an attempt to fill in the gaps left in the sealer they had previously applied. Chapter 3 Following this we left for a seven week touring holiday in France. Just our luck, as soon as we hit France a wheel bearing collapsed and we were stranded in the middle of nowhere, thank god for Caravan and Motorhome breakdown cover. We emailed Liberty Caravans over the next few weeks and received no responses. On top of this the CO2 alarm kept going off and when we went to change the battery we noticed the alarm was out of date , we had not been made aware of this following the service and looked through the emails regarding the service from Liberty Caravans and could find no worksheets. Chapter 4 After a worrying holiday we phoned Liberty Caravans but could only speak to a lovely receptionist despite our request to speak to a director so we decided to call in to make our complaints. We managed to speak to 2of the directors, Ben and Dale. We asked about the lack of service sheets for which they apologised as they should have been emailed to us. They then gave us 3 printed but unsigned engineers work sheets. After asking about the collapsed bearing and why it wasnβt spotted on the service Dale told us they donβt guarantee wheel bearings. After a long discussion about the quality of the work they had carried out we were offered a partial refund of over Β£800 on the proviso we did not post any negative reviews which we reluctantly accepted. After 3 failed attempts to process the refund they asked for our bank details so they could process it via bank transfer the following day. After 2 weeks with no refunds or further contact , we eventually received an email accepting that we had a verbal agreement for a partial refund but the directors had a change of mind as they considered their work was of good quality and met expected standards. We hope this comedy of errors helps others make an informed choice as to whether to entrust your caravan to Liberty caravans. If we had seen a review like this we definitely wouldnβt have used them.

Chapter one. I had my caravan serviced and a new panoramic sunroof fitted by Liberty Caravans. When we got the caravan home we found it was full of scaffolding, plastic steps, bits of broken sunroof and bits of old sealer. The cupboard doors and cooker were open and the grill pan was on the floor. No dust sheets had been used, thank goodness we had removed the carpets and soft furnishings. We took the scaffolding etc back to them and they offered to clean up the mess. We declined and did it ourselves. We were offered a free service next year. After cleaning the caravan we couldnβt find the service book so went back again to collect it. On getting home we noticed the book hadnβt been stamped so went back yet again. Not a very good first experience but more to follow!!

Absolutely first class service. Liberty not only repaired my damp problem but went above and beyond helping me out of a difficult situation. I cannot recommend enough.

I bought a caravan from a company which supposedly had a good reputation, it caught fire the first night in slept in it, fortunately I had insurance, I contacted Liberty Caravan Services and asked for their help and advice, they went above and beyond for me, providing a letter for my insurance company to help with the claim and once I got paid out helped with advice for the repairs. Once it was repaired I booked it in for a service to make sure all the repairs were 100% correctly done, and they were great, I even cheekily asked them to change the rubber rail inserts which they did. I will be a returning customer, thank you Chantelle and your team. Tony

I had some damp repairs to my caravan. The service was great. They let me pick up the van out of hours to suit me and even showed me pictures of the work in progress.I had a small snagging problem which as soon as I emailed them they went to my storage site and sorted it the same day. I would recommend Liberty to anyone who needs a professional service. Thanks

We had our old van sorted at this great business. They did all the work as promised. And even gave me a rebate on the work as it wasn't as bad as originally thought. Kind. Thoughtful. And honest.

Our caravan was broken into during lockdown and the culprit damaged every panel trying to open a window before prizing the door open. He then slept in it before being caught and ended up in prison. Liberty said they could do all the repairs including a full respray of both sides, Full valet including a new mattress, fitting a new door and frame and finally putting on new decals on each side. Liberty whilst being very polite made the caravan look even worse after they had repaired it. The paint turned into what only can be described as crazy paving, they put white sealer around every window and locker doors despite it being a silver sided caravan. When we collected the van we were only told then that the door arrived damaged so our old damaged one was still in place but they would come out to fit a new one at a later date. The caravan was wet from being outside so we did not notice the bad paint job until a later date at home. In addition once it had dried out the white from the sealer had run all down the sides of the van and it looked like a acid attack. Liberty agreed to take to van back to repaint. We took the van back and advised we were going away at Easter and wanted the van back for then which gave them 7 weeks to complete. We heard nothing so eventually contacted them and they seemed surprised we wanted it back. After a few conversations they finally STARTED in on good Friday and 2 weeks later we went back. They were still finishing it when we arrived despite them having it longer this year than we had it. We just wanted to have it back so we took it. At home upon a closer look the paint had runs in it, the inside was full of paint dust, the brand new mattress had dirty boot marks on, there was overspray on some of the window rubbers so it was just a mess. The second door frame they said they had to fit supposedly was sent to them in white so they painted it silver but within days it started peeling off and there was overspray all over the door and rubber seal. Basically the whole thing looked a mess. Since they had had two attempts at it there was no reason to let them try again. After the first paint job went so badly wrong we were given excuse after excuse blaming equipment. We finally came to terms that we had to move on so we went away in it. We cleaned it all but could not get all the paint marks off the inside of the door, we noticed the door was so hard to lock due to the seal they fitted, the blind by the kitchen window had its catch broken and not sure how but they damaged the jockey wheel. The final straw was when away we noticed the double step had been removed so after contacting them they said they did have it and would post it out. We chased this after another two weeks only to be told they had not posted it yet. To this date we are still waiting but I don't suppose we shall see that again. All in all we would not recommend to anyone. On the surface very nice to chat to but quality of work very poor with little understanding of customer service. They need to appreciate people spend a lot of money on caravans and you would like those who get paid to work on them to treat them with respect.

Matt and his team fitted a motor mover on our caravan at very short notice when we were let down just before a holiday. They are very knowledgeable and did a great job. Weβll definitely be using their services again.
