Bait and switch 'Stratton Oakmont' style shill company of One Sure insurance. Low ball quote then proceed to charge multiple hidden fees, claw back commission, and void my cover. They send unwanted letters and then charge 7.50 for each. The insurance market badly needs cleaning up from these kind of companies. Avoid Staveley Head and One Sure at all costs.

Avoid, website not working and no one takes responsibility for technical shortfalls, I was never able to log in an online account and so had to email or call, communication was barely polite via phone or email. They help themselves on credit card BEFORE communication , charge fees for pretty much everything, even a letter and when I called to remove my credit card details ( didn’t want automatic renewal) they refused! So basically I was told I can’t have control over my money!?!?Not happy! Cancelled policy with 3 months left and went with my boyfriend’s insurance who were so better trained in customer care, but got zero refund from Staveley head. Felt like theft! .

Had an insurance policy through Staveley Head for a a couple of years for our motorhome. This year's premium had more than doubled so inevitably I had to change insurers. Before I had time to inform them of the cancellation they had already taken the full amount 8 days before the cancellation date. I was then informed that payment would be back in my account later that day. 7 days on still no refund. Phoned again today to ensure that the policy had been cancelled and this time told that the refund could take up to 6 weeks! Quick enough to take it, not so quick to reimburse you.

I had absolutely no problems with Staveley Head for 5 years insuring my van with them as we converted it to a motorhome. They insured it as a motorhome last year no problem. This year, after renewing my policy, they suddenly demanded lots of additional information before deciding that the van does not qualify as a motorhome and they'd have to cancel my policy because they couldn't insure it as a van either. They gave me until 4pm to find alternative insurance! And then they tried to charge me a £50 cancellation fee even though they were the ones cancelling the policy. I would not recommend!

Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Quoted £800 for conversion in progress camper van insurance. To be told once I’d signed everything I had to complete this conversion within 90 days (who on earth can do that?) so I had to cancel. In total I was insured by them for less than a month but they charged me £450. Keep in mind 12 months was only £800. No one at the company wanted to be any help at all. If this is how they treat potential customers I’d hate to think of the experience people have when they have to claim. I’d give 0 stars if it was possible.

they gave ma a quote of £198 I paid then said I had to show proof of no claims bonus on motorhome insurance, I explained I had full no claims on my car but as it was my first motorhome I never had motorhome insurance. they then said the price would be £570 I said no please cancel it they then said admin charges and cancellation charges left me with a £38 refund which they never paid.

Absolutely dispicable company that keep your credit card details on record even if you pay the policy in full over the phone so they can charge you for any infractions like late paperwork even though there may be a postal strike on they will charge your credit card without informing you. STAY AWAY.

Avoid this company at all costs. First they changed the mileage on my policy then they asked for so many extra documents that it became absurd. They clearly do this regularly as you can see by other reviews. After a few months of back and forth they eventually cancelled my policy (just after my direct debit) And as if that wasnt enough they have now added another £100+ fee to my cancellation so that I now owe them money! Ive now lost over £300 and have nothing to show for it.

zero if possible. Avoid at all costs they don't have a clue what they're doing. Tried to charge me £1300 excess for a windscreen. Lost the use of my motorhome for a month due to their total incompetence. to add insult to injury they then tried to charge me £80--00 to change the place that I keep it. Don't return calls when promised. Should be banned from advising on any insurance policies.
