   Historic place with Art Deco flair & furnishings. Small touring area. Built in 1938, played a role in World War II, swimming pool is heated & about 2 m deep ... activities, events and a ballroom available. The place really needs a good cleaning…restaurant & Café available. Matcha latte at Café very good ...could not see the sea from first and second floors, which are the café and restaurant. Formerly the Hollywood of East Sussex. Not a must go

   Great to see the old Lido back in full,use and busy during the summer . Cafe open to public but not to swimmers as not assessable from the pool side . Swimmers have to use to air stream cafe , ok coffee but sadly cakes not covered ! Sauna wasn’t working today but shall book another time . Looked venue hire upstairs seems reasonable, will keep you posted .

   We've visited twice now, once to swim and then had breakfast in the cafe afterwards, and once with in-laws for just breakfast. The Lido itself is fab. Amazing renovation job, the water was clean and not cold (pleasant surprise) all staff were friendly even though it was very busy around the pool area. Plenty of lifeguards, nice atmosphere, well organised with wristbands for timed bookings etc. We really enjoyed it. Cafe is lovely too, great breakfast menu, really high quality food - nice thick bacon, and quality sausages etc. Would highly recommend. Great to sit out on the patio on a sunny day and look out over the water and the beautiful planting/landscaping but also really nice inside with comfy seats. The girls working in the cafe are good fun, really friendly. We'll be back! :)

   As this has been renovated and the weekend weather was excellent, we decided to go for a breakfast. On a Saturday we arrived at approx. 09:30 and got a table in the sun. Selected from a wide range and catered for all tastes including my daughter who is vegan. Although busy, we did not have to wait long for the breakfasts and drinks to arrive. The service was genuinely friendly and the lady was professional and polite even though she was seemingly on her own and busy. The breakfast was more than enough to eat and everyone was full, with some leaving food as they could not eat it. I must say that the environment and quality of food was top notch and the sunny morning made us feel as if we were on holiday abroad with the sun glinting off of the pool and the landscaped gardens looking good. I cannot fault our visit and look forward to visiting again when we stay with our daughter in Saltdean.

   Fantastic dog swim. I was worried about dog poo being all over the place but I can honestly say I didn't see any at all. Clean as a whistle. The dogs were all really well behaved. It was so fun. Mine loved it. This is on every weekend in Sept. I've booked again it was so good. And the water is not too cold, even for me !

   I went with a group that took our dogs at the end of the season. It was very well organised and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lido was easy to get to and there is parking across the road. It was a great day out . They have a small pool for young children to play in as well as a pool for those that can swim or more confident about being in a deeper pool.

   After booking for a family of four,we turned up to be told that the children's pool was out of order and the heating on the main pool was broken. This was a real shame for us and the other families who had come for a morning session in the summer holidays. People did attempt to have a swim but it was so cold that the pool was empty for most of this session. We won't be wasting £30 on this again,the beach is a better option and free!!

   Saltdean Lido ladies and gentlemen... quick and easy review. It's disgusting. When turning up and finding it a building site with dust in the air and builders shouting over you. I was surprised when I was told I'm not allowed a refund.. yet no mention of construction works taking place on their website or confirmation email. First and foremost do not have your entrance surrounded by building debris and bins. Avoid this place this summer. Possibly next as well as the whole building is under scaffolding.

   Doggie swim: The water is heated and staff is lovely and helpful. The pool is great but the only issue for first timers is that the pool is very deep from the entrance side so careful as if your doggie jumps they might panic and won't be able to get out due to steps being on the other side. So recommend showing your doggie the steps first.
