I absolutely adored this place. Lovely pool and great setting. Easy to park. Good value. So important to support wonderful facilities in village settings. I will be getting back regularly, season allowing.

If you're staying near Ullswater or Penrith and fancy an outdoor dip, this is a lovely community heated swimming pool. You can book 1.5hour sessions online ( they were all afternoon sessions when we stayed) . If it's a sunny day you can enjoy the outside space, have a picnic or get an ice cream, snack or drink too.
A nice pool in a lovely location. The pool is set in the grounds of the village community centre, so plenty of space around the pool, which I imagine is ideal for summer days and picnics at the pool. We went for an evening adult swim session which was £5 per person, booked online via the website. The staff were friendly and helpful. Male and female changing rooms are relatively small, but there is a nice hot shower (with body wash) and toilets. No lockers, but belongings can be left by the pool. The main pool is 20m and was toasty at around 28° when we visited. There is also a learner pool next to the main pool. Ample parking in the community centre car park and a good range of cakes if you need a post-swim treat!
A great asset to to Askam. Large grassed area for relaxing. The facilities are good too. Two pools the main pool and a child's pool.
Love it here this is the second time visiting here. Stopped off on our way to Scotland to break up the journey. The pool is very warm and comfortable to get in.
Pool situation nice, but I didn't feel the swimmers were being properly supervised, regarding "diving & bombing," which is not allowed anyway. I understand when kids just want to have fun, but when they nearly jump on top of you whilst swimming, more care should be advised
An absolute gem of a place.. Tucked away in the beautiful village of Askham, a fantastic facility run by friendly volunteers. The pool was warm..even in the rain. Clean facilities and surrounded by a lovely garden area. Would definitely recommend and will return if in the area again..
First time here and 1st time at an outdoor pool for a number of years. Heated community outdoor pool. Well run, clean tidy, simple to book and a good change. Staff helpful, friendly and make this a good experience. Weather roasty toasty which helped.
