“Highest outdoor pool above sea level in the uk! Great little pool, gets very busy on nice days. Pre book online for guaranteed entry. Open end of May to start of Sept”
“Decent run around for the kids. 2 10 year olds enjoyed themselves. Good service from staff. Decent drink selection. Went Sat morning, nice and quiet, getting busier as we left.”
“I recently visited TeamSport Go Karting in Bradford, and it was an absolutely exhilarating experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and ensured that everything ran smoothly, from check-in to briefing. Their professionalism, friendliness, and clear instructions immediately set the tone for a safe and thrilling day on the track. The briefing was thorough yet engaging, covering all safety rules, kart handling tips, and track etiquette. As someone who enjoys competitive driving, I appreciated how the instructors balanced safety with encouraging racers to push themselves and have fun. Once on the track, it was clear that TeamSport has done an excellent job in designing a layout that’s both challenging and enjoyable. The mix of tight corners, fast straights, and overtaking opportunities makes every lap feel dynamic and exciting. The karts themselves were in great condition, responsive and well-maintained, offering an authentic racing experience. Accelerating out of corners, feeling the kart grip the track, and attempting overtakes was incredibly satisfying — it’s rare to find a venue where every element, from track layout to kart performance, feels so carefully tuned for both fun and competition. TeamSport Go Karting also offers a fantastic group experience. Whether you’re with friends, family, or colleagues, the timing and scoring system adds a competitive edge that makes the day more engaging. The staff were fantastic at creating a lively, encouraging atmosphere, cheering racers on and ensuring everyone had an enjoyable time, regardless of experience level. Facilities are clean and well-organised, with a café and seating area for spectators. There’s plenty of room to relax between races, and the team is always on hand to answer questions or provide guidance. The venue is easy to find, with adequate parking and clear directions, making the overall experience smooth from arrival to departure. Overall, TeamSport Go Karting in Bradford is an outstanding venue for anyone seeking a high-energy, adrenaline-filled day. Between the expertly maintained karts, challenging track layout, enthusiastic and professional staff, and fun group atmosphere, it delivers a thrilling and memorable racing experience. Whether you’re a casual visitor looking for some fun or a serious karting enthusiast, TeamSport Go Karting is a must-visit destination that guarantees excitement every time you take to the track.”
“The best attraction in the city of Bradford is this square with park and a giant mirror pool. The square is surrounded by eateries, multiple grocery stores, adjacent bus station and a cineplex just across the road. The historic building of police museum and courts give it an even better and soothing look. The lights on the building has a very festive colourful decor making it a noticeable landmark. The pool has lighting effects with about 100 fountains that make it a beautiful sight markedly at night. The pool is not deep and people usually sit around in summer with their feet in the water. It feels a bit abandoned in winters especially when it’s not sunny.”
“Lovely village, great pool with friendly staff. Thank you.”
“A superb open air pool with fantastic views of Ilkley Moor . Friendly and helpful staff . In heated pool but it's fine to wear long sleeve swim costume or wet suit . Pool at around 20 degrees after a few days of sun .”
“Nice clean pool & changing rooms. Prefer the lay out at SB pool & centre but would definitely come here again when I want a change of scenery...”
“Went to the inflatable fun swim, myself & another older mum were the only mums on there. My son wanted me to go on with him so we raced across, my arms were really aching the next day as i pulled my own body weight across a few times!!! It smelt a bit did the actual inflatable. We didn't last the 75 mins as myself & my son got bored as you can't even swim when the inflatable is up.”
“I love swimming here A nice big pool. it's warm as well. The only downside is the male showers are colder than the pool.”
“Great charity ran pool, it's large enough for laps, kids loved the shallow end and was heated to perfection. It was raining when we were there so the pool was deserted. It does have a sauna but you'll need to ring up as it's heated by a log burner and takes a few hours to warm up.”
“Its such a good pool honestly. Plenty of space. I think the only thing that is quite a bit of a turn away is the children. Ones whos parents arent telling children whats safe and whats not. Because there was a group of boys when we visited, who kept cannon balling off of the diving board. Had been told multiple times not to and yet still kept doing it. I understand you go for fun, but parents, its also your job to keep your kids safe.”
“Really good pool took my 2 boys for a swim .really good staff .”
“The experience of purchasing the pool table from A1 was honestly the best I could have asked for. The quality of the products, service and the whole buyers experience is frankly awesome. Stephen always go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. From lining out a dummy representative of the room where the pool table would go to the final install and ensuring the right level of information is communicated is brilliant. I’m very happy not only from a great product but also the purchasing experience. This is something rare these days. Thanks again Stephen.”
“A really good, well equipped pool. We enjoyed the rapids and the waves but they have a free water slides that can be enjoyed too, a whirlpool and some outdoor sections. It can get busy at peak times so I’d recommend going late afternoon/evening.”
“Nice flat walk around a small reservoir. Toilets open all day until 6pm. Small visitor centre selling drinks and snacks also local maps. Lots of opportunity to extend your walk in all directions. Parking was £1 in an honesty box at the visitor centre.”
“Great place . Live band .brilliant atmosphere . This is vagabond . Great band”
“Had a hour and half canoe session. Great fun, great staff. Will go again”
“A lovely park for all the family regardless of age. Lots of seating. Great play area. Walk by the water, sit in the green areas or take the dog for a run. There's plenty of space to kick a ball around too.”
“What a fabulous park and area, catering for all ages and abilities. Such an adventurous, well equipped play area.”
“Lovely views of the ponds and the canal from our rooms. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfy.”
“Lovely place to sit and spend some quiet time on a sunny day. Free entry and very clean inside. We were lucky to enjoy the colour festival on the day we went. Overall, it is a good place for children and elderly both.”
“Absolutely beautiful building with such a rich history. Most know that the most famous owner was Ann Lister but the building is very old and has some fabulous examples of medieval architecture. Well worth a visit a true gem. We did a guided tour which was so informative and the guides were brilliant. The grounds are immaculate and the park is full of things to do and see. If you haven't been to Shibden you are missing out.”
“last-minute (typical male) search for a Valentine’s night getaway led me to a place in the center of Haworth that was booked within seconds. Then, I came across this little gem, full of surprises. My take on it: a great place nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire hills. I visited during the coldest time of the year. From the first call I made to the moment I left, I was impressed. The lady who answered the phone quickly confirmed availability, and Karen (a lovely lady I met outside) has kept the place spotless for over ten years. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression, and they nailed it. We stayed in the Charlotte Room, which featured light grey wallpaper with peacocks etched into it, beautiful beams, and a cozy ambiance. The room included a sauna, and I enjoyed a swim as well. It was excellent value for money. The pub was equally fantastic—despite being Valentine’s night, they managed to fit us in last minute. The meals—both breakfast and dinner—were generous portions, and the service was warm and attentive. To summarize, it was a refreshing change; in a world where things often don’t live up to expectations, this exceeded mine. A couple I met by the pool mentioned they had visited three times—that says it all! Highly recommended. When leaving the car, we unfortunately had a small mishap. i.e., it didn’t start, bit of a conundrum. We tried to start the car, and with the cold weather, it refused. Rang AA and went to a local pub. Hati, a waitress, was super helpful and suggested we get a hot chocolate and some Biscoff biscuits. She invited us in to sit by the fire. To some observers, this may have appeared small, but in the throws of one of Bradford’s most desperately cold winters, it was so welcome and so appreciated. Thanks to all, and big thanks to Karen, who attempted to help us jump-start the car with leads from her car to ours. Our only downside was we had to get home and missed out on shopping in the charity shops and some of Haworth’s shops, so it felt a bit curtailed. But it was our Valentine’s break, and my treat is getting to share time with Carolyn, my girlfriend, incidentally truly my greatest find.”
“Both my boys go here for swimming lessons. We change after one of the teachers from here covered a swim lesson at the previous swim school. The difference in teaching style was amazing, found out where she teaches (swim rite) moved my boys there, they have come on leaps and bounds since, with one of my children just about to start swimming competitively and hoping the other one will soon.”
“We have two kids who are very strong swimmers and we have been coming swimnation for the last 5 years. Both my kids could swim without armbands from the age of 6 years old. Swimnation is a wonderful business with a fantastic team of instructors, we could not say a bad word about any of them. They take their jobs very seriously but know how to make it fun for all the children at the same time. Full of praise for the whole team and the facilities are spot on as well. 10/10 from me and Shelley! We could not recommend this business high enough. Steven, Shelley, Leo & Jake”
“Lovely park in Otley with riverside walks. Great play areas for the kids. Easy walk into Otley town and shops. Nice little cafe. Plenty of parking alongside the park.”
“Nice and relaxing/peaceful. Popular with dog walkers and good play area for kids. The lakeside cafe has a good selection of cakes/food with very friendly staff”
