“My little one loves her weekly swimming classes. They are fun, affordable and a perfect way to spend some quality water time with a baby x”
“Beautiful and functional object”
“I’ve just signed up for the Platinum membership at David Lloyds, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. After considering several gyms in the area, this one stood out—and now I can see why. The facilities are exceptional, from the sauna and heated pools to the top-quality gym equipment and variety of classes on offer. A huge thank you to Dylan for providing a comprehensive tour and sharing his extensive knowledge about everything the club has to offer. His professionalism and enthusiasm made the experience even better—he’s truly an asset to the team.”

“I'm having adult swimming lessons. The staff have been invaluable in improving my skill, confidence and stamina. All the staff are friendly, kind and helpful. It's a welcoming supportive place and I would highly recommend it.”
“Beautiful location for evening walk and lot of places for sitting.”
“My daughter was petrified of water, even in the bath and after only 3 lessons with Gayton Swimming she had her head under the water and was swimming on her back. This seemed so impossible before she started her lessons here! Amazing. Worth every penny x”
“Nice large car park and looks like a overflow when very busy. There is a small cafe and information centre. Short walk up Dovedale to stepping stones,or you can go further to caves etc.”
“Carsington Water truly exceeded our expectations during our recent bike ride around the reservoir. It's an absolutely superb destination for cyclists and nature lovers alike. The cycle pathways are exceptionally well maintained, providing a smooth and enjoyable ride throughout the entire loop. It's clear a lot of care goes into keeping them in top condition, making it accessible and pleasant for all skill levels. What truly sets Carsington Water apart are the stunning views that unfold as you pedal along. Every turn offers a new picturesque vista of the water and the surrounding Derbyshire countryside. We found ourselves frequently pausing just to take it all in. Conveniently, there are plenty of benches strategically placed along the route, which allowed us to stop, rest, and really soak up the beautiful surroundings without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a refreshing outdoor activity with breathtaking scenery and excellent facilities, a bike ride around Carsington Water is an absolute must. We had a brilliant time and can't wait to go back!”
“Lovely park with a well-maintained kids’ play area and a nice walking path. Clean, peaceful, and great for families.”
“Very nice park for both couples and families with plenty of activities like massive zip line, padelo boats, slides, a big paddling, poolcanoeing for kids and more. There's a Cafe for a quick drink or bite with plenty of seatings outside plus picnic tables all over the area.”
“Excellent service!! I hired a bicycle, and they only took like 10 minutes to replace my bike without any quibbles when the chain got stuck in the the pedal cogs! Lovely morning out on the bike trails!”
“Love it here. Very clean and a really nice place to go”
“What an amazing pool! We booked online, and as we entered the lifeguard was super friendly and explained to us about the pool and asked if we had been before, and was clearly so enthusiastic about how nice it was - she wasn't wrong! The spring fed water is lovely and fresh, plus it's 36.5m long so feels like a good length between ends. We were informed we needed a swimming cap to swim, but the lifeguard was more than happy to lend us some for our session. £10 is a super reasonable price for the grounds and the quality of the pool and unique spring fed water. I'll be back!”
“Great place to moor, good local facilities within walking distance, coop, Indian restaurant, pub! Nice walks around the lake and plenty of wildlife to spot.”
“Visited for an NHS event regarding having a check up on an ECG, blood pressure, diabetes, height, weight. Stands were available for more information on the above. Also NHS help to get on the NHS app. I can highly recommend anyone book when they next have the event. Plenty of people to guide you round, lovely and friendly, the place was immaculate too.”
“Uttoxeter Leisure Centre: A Clean and Well-Maintained Facility Uttoxeter Leisure Centre has proven to be a reliable and enjoyable destination for my fitness needs. The facility is well-maintained, with clean and tidy common areas and bathrooms. The recent refurbishment of the gym has given it a fresh and modern look, making it a pleasant space to workout. One of the highlights is the swimming pool, which is of a decent size and provides a refreshing environment for swimming. For those who enjoy racket sports, the badminton courts are always in good condition and offer a satisfying experience. While parking can be a bit of a hassle with the app-based payment system, the convenience of redeeming the payment at the counter mitigates this inconvenience. Overall, Uttoxeter Leisure Centre is a great choice for those seeking a clean, well-equipped, and enjoyable fitness experience.”
“A beautiful and tranquil park. The playground is in decent condition with a good zip wire. There are plenty of benches and picnic areas. Some lovely trees and wildlife to be seen too, including the Henmore brook running through the park.”
“Conkers is an absolute gem for family outings! We had an amazing day exploring the beautiful woodlands, exciting rope courses, and interactive indoor exhibits. The mix of outdoor activities and indoor learning makes it perfect for all ages. Our kids loved the 4D cinema and the adventure playground, while we enjoyed the scenic walks and relaxing by the lake. The staff were friendly, and the park was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for a full day of fun, fresh air, and family bonding! Can’t wait to visit again.”
“Enjoy the setting and advice here - new wall has some great lines for 5s and 6s”
“Brilliant outdoor space for all the family. From the play equipment for under 3s to the rope swings and climbing wires for teens it's a great place.”
“Claire is a lovely manager and a real joy to meet. The facility is a nice big space with a large swimming pool and gym upstairs. The fitness studio is big with all the latest facilities. The cafe downstairs serves costa coffee and it's a nice place to relax before or after a workout.”
“My grandson loves Conkers, both inside & outside activities! The staff are lovely, the Halloween decorations were fab and, even on a cold October day, we spent 3 hours in the playgrounds, on the train & in the Enchanted Forest inside. Our annual ticket costs £63, as my grandson lives in the National Forest & that gave us a £7 discount - he lives 20 mins away, so we can dip in & out all year. Well worth it!”
“Just held my son's 4th birthday party here. The kids loved the bouncy castle and soft play there was lots for them to have fun with! The staff were great and I really do recommend it, you get a lot of party for your money”
