   We went for Christmas dinner and the staff were great and we couldn't fault them but they were let down by the offering from the kitchen. The lettuce in the prawn cocktail was limp. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were from a packet of Aunt Bessie's, the roast vegetables were two pieces of carrot, the pigs in blankets was one pig in a blanket again obviously bought in served with the smallest piece of hard stuffing possible. The chocolate shards were missed off the chocolate torte. I expected a lot better from an established hotel. I wouldn't recommend going there for a meal.

   A beautiful and spacious pool with refreshing water. The wonderful lifeguards clearly love it too and their enthusiasm is infectious. You need to wear a swimming cap but they have some to borrow.

   Beautiful pool, no chlorine, lovely mature trees round the pool and really friendly helpful lifeguards. Definitely on my places to go back to. My only improvement would be improved wheelchair access for the toilets at the hotel and the lido.

   What an amazing pool! We booked online, and as we entered the lifeguard was super friendly and explained to us about the pool and asked if we had been before, and was clearly so enthusiastic about how nice it was - she wasn't wrong! The spring fed water is lovely and fresh, plus it's 36.5m long so feels like a good length between ends. We were informed we needed a swimming cap to swim, but the lifeguard was more than happy to lend us some for our session. £10 is a super reasonable price for the grounds and the quality of the pool and unique spring fed water. I'll be back!

   It has a mythical quality about it, the water is refreshingly cold but does get warmer on sunny days. If you're staying at the hotel then you get access to the pool. The mineral content is high in magnesium and fresh, over 80 tonnes of water flows through on a daily basis and this keeps the pool fresh. Check the times and be prepared... take a towel with you... people with long hair can purchase a cap. Have some shoes you can easily slip off and on. Googles are on hand and I’d recommend them. Listen to what the lifeguards say, all of whom are chatty, friendly and all-round good eggs, the water is cold and it can take you by surprise. We watched from our room as the other swimmers came and went and finally took the plunge (excuse the pun) and found it exhilarating. It genuinely sets you up for the day. After the swim we scurried back to the room had a hot drink and climbed into bed to get warm. Jumping straight into a hot shower is not recommended. We both agreed, there is something very special about this pool and the other folk there and the lifeguards add to this community vibe. Everyone is made to feel welcome and we will most certainly be back.

   Don’t go here unless you have read all of the rules through several times and even then expect the lifeguards to shout at you in a very rude manner if you aren’t following all the rules - I was called selfish and disrespectful of other swimmers for not tying my hair back which is just plain rude and unnecessary

   Love this place, if only I could get there more often. The pool is great, although Im never convinced the temperature is a high as it says on the blackboard. That said, its and outdoor pool and today we had the added excitement of swimming in the rain, always added fun. Its a great place for a leisurely swim as well as a good place to put in some practice laps if thats your thing too. The staff are super helpful and always very upbeat. Must be something in the water.

   What a wonder , to swim in the pure waters of this under ground spring fed pool . They say don’t shower after you have swam and they're right your skin feels amazing . The best lido swim I have ever had :)
