“Nice large car park and looks like a overflow when very busy. There is a small cafe and information centre. Short walk up Dovedale to stepping stones,or you can go further to caves etc.”

“Carsington Water truly exceeded our expectations during our recent bike ride around the reservoir. It's an absolutely superb destination for cyclists and nature lovers alike. The cycle pathways are exceptionally well maintained, providing a smooth and enjoyable ride throughout the entire loop. It's clear a lot of care goes into keeping them in top condition, making it accessible and pleasant for all skill levels. What truly sets Carsington Water apart are the stunning views that unfold as you pedal along. Every turn offers a new picturesque vista of the water and the surrounding Derbyshire countryside. We found ourselves frequently pausing just to take it all in. Conveniently, there are plenty of benches strategically placed along the route, which allowed us to stop, rest, and really soak up the beautiful surroundings without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a refreshing outdoor activity with breathtaking scenery and excellent facilities, a bike ride around Carsington Water is an absolute must. We had a brilliant time and can't wait to go back!”

“Excellent service!! I hired a bicycle, and they only took like 10 minutes to replace my bike without any quibbles when the chain got stuck in the the pedal cogs! Lovely morning out on the bike trails!”

“A beautiful and tranquil park. The playground is in decent condition with a good zip wire. There are plenty of benches and picnic areas. Some lovely trees and wildlife to be seen too, including the Henmore brook running through the park.”
“Conkers is an absolute gem for family outings! We had an amazing day exploring the beautiful woodlands, exciting rope courses, and interactive indoor exhibits. The mix of outdoor activities and indoor learning makes it perfect for all ages. Our kids loved the 4D cinema and the adventure playground, while we enjoyed the scenic walks and relaxing by the lake. The staff were friendly, and the park was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for a full day of fun, fresh air, and family bonding! Can’t wait to visit again.”
“My grandson loves Conkers, both inside & outside activities! The staff are lovely, the Halloween decorations were fab and, even on a cold October day, we spent 3 hours in the playgrounds, on the train & in the Enchanted Forest inside. Our annual ticket costs £63, as my grandson lives in the National Forest & that gave us a £7 discount - he lives 20 mins away, so we can dip in & out all year. Well worth it!”
