“Great place for kids and serious nature lovers. Our 5 and 7 year olds had a great time and sustained interest from 10.30-3.30 with huge range of activities. Video game incorporating kids sketches a particular favourite. Catering good but slow”

The zip line bit expensive 3 host for £12 if you have several kids but nevertheless kids had a wonderful time. Would love to see a more baby friendly area from the soft play with accessibility for people with disabilities. “Visited a resident here and they had a view that overlooked these gardens and the Guildhall of Music. Residents here get to walk about this whole complex, listen to the music from the Guildhall etc. The steps up to the apartments, though, are like something from a Michael Cain movie!”

“We had a company corporate day here and it was incredible. We were really looked after by everyone at WakeUp Docklands. They catered for the newbies and also the experienced amongst us. I would fully recommend this for any corporate events and days. Bar was well stocked and we were able to get in pizza from next door. Really amazing day and we'll be back for sure!”

“A very nice children playground. There are plenty of activities for children. Children can bring a ball to play with or a scoop to play in the sand. Every family can enter for around 70-90 minutes. And can return for another timeslot, with an hour between play sessions. There's a toilet and also a tap water to drink there.”

“Always lovely to walk around the lakes. You can also see the water ski. They are building a new bridge to the other play area but it’s not finished yet and is still fenced off as of yesterday. You have to walk the long way around.”

“Lovely lake, the folks at the Watersport Centre were very helpful and friendly. They can blow up your iSup for a small fee. We paid £12 each for 4 hours with our own paddleboard/kayak, this includes your parking if you validate it at the desk. There are lockers and safe changing facilities. Will definitely be back for the evening social, many thanks. The cafe next door is good, coffee was great and they have nice clean toilets, much nicer than the ones at the car park.”

“Brilliant park next to river. Enclosed area for little ones to play. When hot, the sprinkle area comes to play. Very big green area for you to picnic, put up a small gazebo, play family games etc. The toilets are clean even tho only 2 cubicles in ladies. But every time been they have been clean. Have a food hut. Very reasonable priced. The best is there long hot dogs for 4 pounds each. Overall a great free day to spend with the family. Can not recall parking prices but it was not expensive compared to other places”

“Wonderful place. Very peaceful and quiet. Good place for a long walk. The forest has a sense of calm to it. Has some paths with an incline or a decline, but otherwise the level is flat. Best to visit when it's dry, as it may get muddy after periods of rain.”

“We attended the BSUPA Level 1 Paddleboard course. Our instructor was calm, understanding and inspired confidence. He was also incredibly knowledgeable. We felt safe and confident with him. Good solid advice on bouancy aids, and equipment followed up with excellent advice on how to use it. On the water we learned how to paddle laying down, then kneeling and finally we ALL got up. None of us fell in. We paddled a little and then it was time to deliberately fall in so we could practice getting back on....Again, everyone managed to get back on!! This is a sign of great coaching! More paddling and practicing on/off, maneuvers and steering..and then we were taught stepback turns, and encouraged to get further and further back on the board. We went from nervous shaky wobbly beginners to confident paddlers twirling on the spot with stepback turns....again ALL of us were doing this! Incredible! If you want to learn Paddleboarding, get down there now, you wont regret it. Best money I have spent! Thank you HYMB!!”
