    Alton Towers Waterpark

“Was quite anxious as my 7 and 10 yo went off in different direction. Staff friendly and had the use of AI life guarding, continually scanning swimmers and those in trouble. Rides where great, queues manageable, pools warm , food was a bit pricey. Parking free.”

    Quarry Splash Park

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Closed

“Great place to take the kids with parts for all ages. With the quarry right next to it for picnics and ball games it's a really good location. Would be better with cleaner toilets but the same could be said about anywhere. At least this park has toilets. Good amount of seating dotted around makes it easy to sit and watch the kids playing. Overall great place to go.”

    Peak Wildlife Park

    ★★★★☆ 4.6
    Closed

“Me and my daughters visited this wildlife park and it was a wonderful visit. The animals all look well cared for with plenty of space to move. The accessibility for wheelchair users was fantastic. Platforms made it easy to view animals and the walk around areas were not too small. Information about each animal was clear and easy to understand for younger children. There was an option to feed wallabies or deer, we opted for wallabies and were amazed when a joey popped its head out of its mom's pouch. Although my daughters are adults, the play area was fantastic, we would have definitely spent a fair while there when they were younger. Definitely a place to visit. If there were any recommendations for the park, it would be to have some Makaton signs by the enclosures.”

“Fun morning katakanu and canoe session with teens. Naomi and Joe were very helpful and wanted us to get the most out of our session, so they tailored it to us. Beautiful setting to sit and have an ice-cream after with picnic benches outside. We had a voucher from friends, and this experience would be an excellent experience present for a family.”

“It's a lovely lake and a nice easy walk around the lake. And it has paths leading off to other walks through the woodland. So you can make your walk as big or small as you like. Lots of nature trails and lots of things the kids can spot along the way. The little cow shed next door to the reserve so you can grab a cuppa. Card only. Oakhanger project's is how I came to know the place through kayaking and canoeing. Which I found through Walk talk action. Which you can also find on Facebook and get involved for people of all ages”

“Went here for the North Pole express. We had a great time. The staff were all really friendly. A great experience for us and the kids. A small bag of treats on the train including port and mince pies for us and juice and cookies for the kids made the journey even better. The kids loved their gifts from Santa too; a well thought out gift for our kids ages. The elves on board made it fun, having a sing along and even a bit of magic which was great. All in all a really great experience and highly recommend it. We also had a drink in the bar after, mulled wine and a great selection of beers finished off with some tasty hot meat baps and pigs in blankets.”

“Wonderful, very clean area, well maintained paths, beautiful variety of plants, some of the walks could be sign posted better, there are some more accessible walks if you have mobility issues. Pleanty of different car parks, but bare in mind the car park you choose may vary the immediate accessibility of the walks so I'd advise you pick your carpark based on rhe walk you choose. Dog friendly just clean up after your pets. There are bins at key points throughout the park as well as park benches and picnick tables. This park is tended with the help of Park Hall Friends who help clean the area and maintain its splendid atmosphere.”

“All you have to do is book online via congleton town council and you get a 3 hour slot. It's about 60' in diameter and at its deepest it's just under knee deep to an adult, it's clean and safe for the kids. Best part, it's free. There are no refreshments on site, you can bring your own though. The only amenities on site are a toilet and some bins and 7 benches, there is space to lay out a towel and lounge in the sun though.”

“Stayed here for one night on the 2-day pass bundle. The bed was comfy, few little amenities like a kettle with tea and coffee with a selection of biscuits. A hairdryer was located in the draw on the dresser table. Plenty of clean soft towels. The TV worked which is useful no signal issues. Not too far a walk to the monorail to get into the park. Staff were helpful on arrival and check out. Plenty of parking after checking in at 4 p.m. Would recommend.”

“Brilliant! We are able to go with our son and some of his friends and only pay for them to go on, whilst we sit upstairs with a coffee where we can watch over them! The space itself is brilliant! The bouncy bit is extensive and there are lots of things to do from gladiator fighting with inflatable poles to climbing and sliding. Our son loves it here! The staff are always helpful and friendly, and the drinks are a decent quality. They even do slushies which is our sons favourite! Would highly recommend for a fun few hours for the kids!”

“Had a brilliant few hours here today, it was clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Changing rooms were clean. Lockers are £5 but refunded on your way out. Drinks and snacks/food are pricey. We all had plenty of opportunities to ride on the slides without queuing, we all loved the rapids and the wave pool. All the slides were open today. The outdoor pool wasn't open. Only disappointment was we had to pay for parking, I hate for paying for parking anywhere!! We will definitely visit again!”

“Gym and Swim available here. Staff are always kind and welcoming. Changing rooms are cleaned regularly and it even smells clean when you walk in too. Gym has a good variety of equipment from Cardio machines to free weights and a Smith Machine too. Copious amounts of parking available and the vending machines aren't overpriced either. Monthly prices for the gym and swim are reasonable, giving you access at any time to the Gym and selected times for the pool.”
