5 Poplars Farm Riding School
“I first started riding at Poplars 30 years ago, riding for a number of years. Following a break to go to uni, have children etc, I returned around 11 years ago, as soon as my children were old enough to start riding – thankfully, they caught the bug too and it is now a weekly activity that we all enjoy together. Staff are knowledgeable and lessons are varied (particularly love all the different pole work exercises). I feel safe knowing that my children are always put on ponies that are deemed suitable for their ability and I trust Pip’s professional opinion on what she thinks my children are capable of when it comes to the exercises she is asking of them in our lessons. The pony’s welfare is paramount to the family and the fact that there are still ponies on the yard (albeit in the retirement field) that taught me to ride all those years ago, is testament to how well looked after and cared for they are. I have no hesitation in recommending Poplars as a great place to ride, having already done so to family and friends.”

“I took my 20 month old grandson for the free session yesterday, I knew as soon as we entered the building we would be signing up for the course and that's exactly what we did post session. My grandson cried initially but he soon overcome and worries he had with Woody who soon put him at ease and was soon playing with the generous amount of toys. It's has everything you need free parking vending machine for refreshments easy changing areas with shower facilities and friendly staff. Truly can't wait for him to start properly next week.”

“We have just arrived home from my son’s birthday party at Lazer Quest, I can’t thank the team enough, we have had an awesome afternoon, the team were super helpful and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us, all of the children and adults for that matter had the best time. If you want a stress free, laid back but fun party where you aren’t pushed out as soon as your time is over with great party hosts this is the place for you. The nursery set up a different range of activities each day, all with the aim and focus of developing different skill sets. My son suffers with his hearing due to ear infections and nursery have gone out of their way to support him with different methods of communication to ensure that his communication doesn't fall behind. We get regular updates and pictures via the app which we love as it allows us to see what he's up to during the day. The nursery do loads of lovely things around special events, such as a garden party with the children for the Kings coronation recently. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming, and the variety of food on offer each day is amazing and all cooked from scratch! I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend Hartford Old School House to any other parents, I'm so happy we found it for our boy!”
