   Highly recommend Bullclough - I’ve just completed a beginners course in art with a wonderful tutor Jackie White who made everything so easy to understand and follow. I’m pretty much a beginner and knew very little other than dabbling in watercolours. This course covered everything I needed to know and I came away with a much better understanding and a motivation to give other mediums a try. A fabulous location with the perfect hosts Nellie and Andy who made everyone very welcome. A special mention of course to Andy’s food which was delicious.

   Attended the 3 day beginners painting course, the setting is absolutely beautiful, the owners are very welcoming and friendly, putting you at ease from the moment you enter. The food is amazing, everyone was very impressed. The course itself gave us the opportunity to try a variety of media and a range of different brands to see the difference. It's a good solid foundation for anyone starting out and left me wanting to go home and do more. I will definitely be booking more courses at Bullclough.

   If there were more star ratings than 5 I’d give them. I’ve just attended a three day workshop under the guidance of Nellie and Babs and what a thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring experience it was. Total encouragement and support. The best art workshop I’ve attended, and to top it all… superb, no SUPERB!, cooked lunches by Andy. I would thoroughly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in freeing up their art into expressive abstract landscapes.

   I recently attended a two day workshop here with the wonderful Kelly Herrick. The setting for these studios is mind blowing beautiful. The art school itself is a stunning old building beautifully renovated by our hosts Andy and Nellie. The professionalism and experience of our tutor was excellent and she generously shared her experiences skills and ideas.The hosts were so welcoming it was like spending time with a family friend. Food was superb and even catered for my gluten intolerance. I cannot rate this place highly enough.

   Just spent a wonderful 3 days at Bullclough Art School on a Bank holiday weekend drawing course - I've never drawn before and was very apprehensive but now can't wait to do more!! Amazing location - a special place to immerse yourself in a creative bubble. They are so welcoming and friendly. Excellent tuition from incredibly knowledgeable and talented tutors who are passionate about art.....their enthusiasm is infectious! Food is fab too!!! Thank you!!!

   Bullclough is an amazing retreat for all levels of artists. Set in the heart of England surrounded by wonderful vistas to paint. Nellie and Andy are the most warm and welcoming host you can get. The facilities has every thing that an artists needs plus incredible teaching team that open up your creative spirit. I fully recommend going on a course.

   Bullclough is a total treat for your eyes .. stunning surroundings, a rural paradise and that is all before the art begins! We stayed at the onsite loft accommodation which was lovely - so peaceful and comfortable. Rachel was our wonderful art tutor and Bullclough hosts Nellie and Andy made us feel so welcome, not to mention their truly special dogs (lots of cuddles if you want them) and the alpacas! I had a most wonderful experience and I am taking away so much for my art practice. I can't recommend Bullclough highly enough and will definitely be returning.

   We had the most wonderful experience. The hosts were so welcoming and make you feel so at home. The view is breathtaking. Jackie White’s From sketch to ideas to final piece was just great. We learnt so much. Will definitely come again. Thoroughly recommend this Art school as you will not be disappointed.

   I was so honoured and thrilled at receiving this in the post from an art class that took place at Bullclough Art School!!! I was humbled at the fact I was drawn let alone the fact I was then gifted this! I can not recommend Bullclough Art School enough not only do you experience something magical, you meet the kindest people. It doesnt matter whether you are a beginner or an expert artist - the support and tution you receive is phenomenal!!!! On top of this all the tutors and the owners - Nellie Shepherd & Andy - are so exceptionally welcoming and kind it becomes a home away from home! #Bullclough #Art Ohhh and if you are a foodie like me they do the most amazing lunches and afternoon tea with cake and biscuits! And at the end of the course a little champagne party
