    Lake 32 Outdoor Centre

    ★★★★☆ 4.6

“Easily launched our own craft for a 2 hour kayak and paddle session this weekend just past. Staff were so friendly on the gate, and the coffee was good, too. We camped just around the corner so it all worked out, and the weather played along too. Will be back asap with my SUP.”

    WWT Slimbridge

    ★★★★☆ 4.7

“We visited the WWT centre for a day out with the grandchildren. They absolutely loved the new welly world feature. And, of course, feeding the ducks and geese was a particular highlight. The day wore them both out beautifully, so we had no problem putting them to bed—which was the main point of our visit. So, thank you Slimbridge for providing excellent entertainment for the kids.”

“The hill is situated in Bristol city. It’s a moderate climb to the top of the hill and then you can climb to top of Cabot tower. On the day we visited it was raining and windy, but we still enjoyed the walk and the climb. Highly recommended.”

    Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Open

“Fantastic park with a variety of things to do, playground, splash pad, skate park, row boats, walking paths, and plenty of grassy area to kick a ball around. Great place for a picnic and bonus: if you are short on time to prepare at home, Morrison's grocery is right across the street. There's also a cafe with drinks and a small selection of snacks inside the park. Only downside is there are only about 8-10 parking spots inside the park, but there's free street parking up the hill from the park, so it's not too difficult to get a spot. I arrived mid/late afternoon on a Wednesday.”

“Lovely lodge everything you need. Kids very impressed with WiFi. Bistro on site amazing food and value for money cost online with any pub you go to staff all lovely. 15m drive to bath ( in bath no free parking for disabled and expensive ) Only complaint was did put on booking someone with mobility issue but parking on a slight incline (luckily the person with mobility issues didn't come) so was not a issue in this occasion but could of been. Curtains a bit frayed but no means spoilt the visit. Would def go back.”

    St. Andrew’s Park

    ★★★★☆ 4.6

“I took my nephew to this park today and it instantly hit me with a wave of nostalgia. This was the very same park I used to visit as a little one with my family. I remember happily walking down Happy Lane, a narrow footpath decorated with creative artwork from amazing people, though sadly a few have vandalised it with white or pink scribbles. It’s an incredible place that holds so much sentimental value for me. My nephew had an amazing time and especially loved the swings. I was glad to see they’d kept the splash pool too. I have fond memories of splashing around in it as a kid, and seeing him enjoy the park made it feel like my childhood smile had been passed down to him. It’s funny and beautiful how life works sometimes. Nostalgia truly is a gift.”

    Clevedon Marine Lake

    ★★★★☆ 4.6
    Open

“We headed down to Clevedon Marine Lake for a summer solstice swim – my wife, a few friends, and me – and it was honestly the perfect way to mark the longest day. This time of year, the lake is unbeatable. The water was clear, the mood was relaxed, and the pontoon in the middle was a hit with the kids (and yes, I couldn't resist a few somersaults myself). It’s a great spot for all ages – plenty of space for serious swimmers, but also for those just there for a splash and a laugh. Loads of fair-weather swimmers like us enjoying a refreshing evening dip. I’ve dabbled in winter swimming here too… others are clearly tougher than me, but full credit to them! Year-round, it’s such a brilliant community space.”

    Zoo

“Great amusements, combined with animals, a small indoor zoo, a mini train, a mini Jeep ride, a massive play barn for all child ages, a cafe, restaurant, shop, picnic areas, a hedge maze, playgrounds including a giant bouncy pillow thing, boats, high rope activity, friendly staff, family safe environment. WiFi is available free of charge but limited phone signal. I particularly liked the new crazy golf, amazingly creative and attractively done. Really good job everyone!!! (So much there that I've probably forgotten something!)”

    West Country Water Park

    ★★★★☆ 4.5

“We had a great time today. It was the first time either myself or my son had tried paddleboarding, so we had a lesson with one of the instructors, Cam. He was great. He explained everything clearly and was very pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. We both managed to stand up on our boards. It was busy, which was to be expected on a warm, summer holiday Sunday, but all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. I am sure we will be back!”

“Absolutely fantastic pool! It's one of the best pool I've visited in England in the past few years. Best thing about the pool is that it is heated. Staffs are friendly and helpful, the pool and changing room are clean. The style of colours is gorgeous. There is a small shop and resting area near the pool.”

“I’ve had lessons with 4 coaches recently and they’ve all been amazing. Super kind, helpful and bringing great energy. The lessons at the wave are the best way to progress in your surfing. Stringer, Sonny and Charlie during one lesson, helped my partner become confident enough to try the next step up. Ben was awesome on the advanced coaching. Helpful, considered, constructive advice that lead to me having the best session I’ve had.”

    Cotswold Country Park & Beach

    ★★★★☆ 4.2

“I visited Cotswold Country Park and Beach with my mom, sister, and 2-year-old daughter, and we had a great time. We enjoyed the swan ride, played on the beach, and spent time in the swimming areas. We were able to set up a small tent and relax while taking in the beautiful views. We also had lunch at the café, which was convenient. Since it was a school day, the park was quiet with fewer people around, which made it even more enjoyable. Admission was also reasonably priced. Highly recommended for a peaceful family outing!!!”
