“Nice rooms and great staff, couldn't be more helpful. After moving the mother-in-law into her new flat, she couldn't stay that night. So we checked her into a this Premier Inn. The 2 ladies on reception, Rosie and Hannah couldn't have been more helpful! They were great with my mother-in-law and set her mind at ease. What great customer service.”
“Fabulous rooms. Modern and clean. Food was good. Was on group booking, and was a little restricted to what we were told, but main course was tasty. Drinks as expected, but Lottie made some great suggestions and banging cocktails. Nice to see her have enthusiasm and hospitality skills to adapt to different customer needs. Well done”
“The staff at Shrewsbury are a real credit to an excellent fun place. They are so helpful and look as if they genuinely enjoy being with the children. There are plenty of staff spaced around, in case your child needs help or you need any advice. Definitely 5 stars to this place. The toilets are okay which is to be expected with children but the overall cleanliness is great.”
“Was quite anxious as my 7 and 10 yo went off in different direction. Staff friendly and had the use of AI life guarding, continually scanning swimmers and those in trouble. Rides where great, queues manageable, pools warm , food was a bit pricey. Parking free.”
“Ok so this place surpassed my expectations. I got married here 30 years ago and my city has suffered since. The hotel has changed hands a few times since and I wasn’t expecting much but it really was great. It’s a big hotel. The rooms are huge. It’s been very well redecorated throughout. 2 small complaints 1. Lift is a bit tatty. 2. Ground floor lobby is like the land that ti forgot. Otherwise it’s a yes from me”
“Another town another premier inn , this time the room ( prem + ) was massive well furnished comfortable and super clean , Leanne greeted to me and was a great example of how staff are the hotel and greeted me with a warm smile and explained everything i needed to know even went and got me some Hot Chocolate which you don’t actually get in the rooms ! Again loaned me an Apple Watch charger as I’d forgotten mine as I need it as I have an app to check blood sugar ! Perfect hotel and if Leanne is anything to go by the staff will all be wonderful too”
“This was a great Holiday Inn to stay in to break up a journey from the north to tge south. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff on reception and the food area were extremely helpful. I was struggling to open a packet of cereal, a member of staff noticed, went to the kitchen to get scissors and swiftly returned to open the packet for me. I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn, it is very good value.”
“Pleasant overnight stay on way to Alton Towers from Scotland. Will use this stop-over again. Despite rating of 2*, the travel lodge was staffed with helpful, polite, friendly, courteous staff who were on hand for all our questions, including local weather reports! Met all the needs for an overnight stay. Entrance, hallway, reception and room were all clean and tidy.”
“Thank you for the most magical holiday. You have created such a special and beautiful place. We feel so lucky to have stayed here. The yurts are so cosy and romantic and the attention to detail is unbelievable. We loved the breakfast hamper and the lovely soap gift set (both locally sourced) The setting is perfect with lots to do in the surrounding areas. You’ve a created a paradise in Staffordshire....can’t wait to return very soon! :) Hannah and Graham”
“We visited bewilder-wood for the Christmas Panto and light trail. This was the first time we had been and we loved it. We wondered through the forest looking at the lovely light displays. We then had some festive food in the tee pee tent. The food was very good and very fairly priced. We then went to see the pantomime and wondered through the remaining forest light trail. We spent around 3 hours here we had a great time! Thank you Bewilderwood”
“Great virtual tour for less able visitors, excellent guide who was a mine of information about this early example of factories and continuous processes. Good catering and well worth a visit”
“Me and my daughters visited this wildlife park and it was a wonderful visit. The animals all look well cared for with plenty of space to move. The accessibility for wheelchair users was fantastic. Platforms made it easy to view animals and the walk around areas were not too small. Information about each animal was clear and easy to understand for younger children. There was an option to feed wallabies or deer, we opted for wallabies and were amazed when a joey popped its head out of its mom's pouch. Although my daughters are adults, the play area was fantastic, we would have definitely spent a fair while there when they were younger. Definitely a place to visit. If there were any recommendations for the park, it would be to have some Makaton signs by the enclosures.”
“Stayed here 3 times and every time it’s been perfect. Well priced, clean and good service. My only hope would be for more healthy breakfast alternatives like porridge”
“A great walk all year round. The Visitor Centre provides a selection of hot and cold drinks as well as snacks. The balcony offers a stunning view across the lake.”
“I had expected much less considering it’s just a sea life within a theme park but it’s actually quite dense! Lots of fun, and a nice break from the rollercoasters.”
“Wonderful, very clean area, well maintained paths, beautiful variety of plants, some of the walks could be sign posted better, there are some more accessible walks if you have mobility issues. Pleanty of different car parks, but bare in mind the car park you choose may vary the immediate accessibility of the walks so I'd advise you pick your carpark based on rhe walk you choose. Dog friendly just clean up after your pets. There are bins at key points throughout the park as well as park benches and picnick tables. This park is tended with the help of Park Hall Friends who help clean the area and maintain its splendid atmosphere.”
“Little quirky museum with amazing staff who carry out the shows and truly engage the visitors. Despite my late arrival, I was made to feel welcomed and the attention and knowledge given by the staff to ensure that I could learn more about the steam machines and how they operated and still do was appreciated.”
“Convenient stop on the way to Manchester. Very comfortable bed, nice and quiet room, good breakfast plus friendly staff.”
“We took our baby girl for her first birthday and stayed two nights in an In the Night Garden room. It was the best time of her little life and there for me, too! The hotel is perfect for little ones, so baby friendly with so much thought gone in to the design. Including travel cot, baby bath, bottle warmer and nappy bin in the room. The lobby itself was interactive and magical and my little girl was blown away to bump into her two faves - Upsy Daisy and Iggle Piggle doing a meet and greet in the hotel. Parking was easy, plenty of it and right in front of the hotel which is great when you’ve got a car full of baby supplies. Breakfast is very good and they do veggie sausages on request. Evening food was lovely one night but not so good the second. Tiny tots menu was very good. Drinks and food were expensive, but that wasn’t really a surprise as this is the case with most resorts like this. I’ve been singing the hotels praises to any parent who will listen and we will definitely come back when our daughter is older and the Bluey ride is open. Only negatives (or just something to mention) is that the signage in the area (Alton towers area) generally is pretty poor and sometimes misleading/confusing, but it’s easy to find a member of staff to ask for directions when needed. Special shout out to Sam on reception who answered all my questions before we arrived and was super helpful. Thanks for calming my first time mum nerves!”
“Stayed at Premier Inn (Leek) for a local wedding and was really impressed. The hotel is modern and accessible, with a convenient car park on site. Check-in was swift and easy, and our room was lovely. We opted for the Ultimate Room, which came with air conditioning and free WiFi. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was spotless. We stayed midweek, so the restaurant was fairly quiet in the evening, simple dishes to choose from. Breakfast offered plenty of choice. Overall, excellent value for money and a very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend. The only thing for improvement would be having a smart TV to be able to stream or offer netflix, YouTube services.”
“Very clean and tidy. Bridget on reception was incredibly kind, patient and helpful when we realised we had booked the wrong date to stay at the hotel. Excellent service!”
“Hi fenton manor how wes swimming pool doing today is open tonight”
“Another Santa Sleepover and every year it doesn't disappoint! Our son is autistic and has additional complex needs, all of the staff are so understanding and helpful. Highly recommend The Secret Garden restaurant, the food was fantastic and you never had to wait long for the buffet to be refilled. Lovely staff, comfy beds, and great entertainment.”
“Brilliant! We are able to go with our son and some of his friends and only pay for them to go on, whilst we sit upstairs with a coffee where we can watch over them! The space itself is brilliant! The bouncy bit is extensive and there are lots of things to do from gladiator fighting with inflatable poles to climbing and sliding. Our son loves it here! The staff are always helpful and friendly, and the drinks are a decent quality. They even do slushies which is our sons favourite! Would highly recommend for a fun few hours for the kids!”
“Had a lovely weekend stay here with my partner. We had our own private patio and garden which was really romantic. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were well maintained. I'd definitely go back. Highly recommended.”
“Beautiful sculpture. Parking is a bit limited which is a shame as it isn't heavily promoted in the local area. There also used to be a triangular sculpture here but it disappeared....would love to know where it went?”
“A little gem. Rooms are basic but comfortable, the staff are super friendly, and the breakfast was superb. Would definitely return.”
“We had a great time at the Splash Landings hotel. The location with water park onsite, and proximity to the park is excellent. Minor gripes that the weather was roasting and the little fan in the room was barely adequate, it may be an idea to improve the cooling facilties within the hotel. I also wonder why they provide some entertainment at night, but take hour long breaks in between, so people rarely sit and wait for the next one. Why not just have a full evening of entertainment, there are hundreds of guests and I'm sure it would be popular.”
“Stopped here on our way south. Room was basic but has everything you need, it was Very clean and you get tea/coffee etc Staff member on arrival was very friendly and helpful. Overall good place to stay, definitely recommend…”
“Pretty good budget option for accommodation. Pods are small but cosy, with a double bed and two single beds. Communal showers and toilets were also clean, no problems there. Sadly did have to hire towels for £2.50 each, since they don't provide towels as a standard. The morning breakfast baps were decent too. Having accommodation was so useful, seeing as we were journeying from London.”
