Stayed here for scarefest. Really peaceful. Pods nice and warm. Beds little uncomfortable but bearable.. toilets and shower block immaculately clean. Lovely breakfast. 2 minute walk to restraunt. Reception a little hard to find due to its location and was disappointed that telescopes didn't work.. perfect clear night to be able to use.. overall lovely place to stay.

The Alton towers stargazing pods are what you expect pods to be, small and compact and do provide you with the room/beds to sleep a family of four. If your expecting them to give you an added experience of stargazing then you may be somewhat disappointed due to the fact that your only hope of seeing any stars is an outdoor telescope which isn't quite what I expected and is not good value for the prices charged. The booking in process was fairly straightforward although parking for unloading your vehicle is a nightmare. Shared shower blocks and amenities were modern and clean. The pods are not ideal for eating in which means eating out is quite costly on top of the prices for attractions. Definitely not somewhere I would recommend when you can get find local sites and pods at a fraction of the price close by

Pretty good budget option for accommodation. Pods are small but cosy, with a double bed and two single beds. Communal showers and toilets were also clean, no problems there. Sadly did have to hire towels for £2.50 each, since they don't provide towels as a standard. The morning breakfast baps were decent too. Having accommodation was so useful, seeing as we were journeying from London.

The place is very beautiful, the rooms are clean, the bathrooms are clean, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We liked our stay there, but the only thing I didn’t like is that the key deposit has not been refunded yet, even though I asked when leaving and they told me that it is automatically refunded, but it hasn’t been refunded yet, and the customer service has no response, so I gave it 4 stars, except for that place. The breakfast was very good.

Its just a super tiny cabin. I was expecting a glass roof or something for the money it costs. Really basic and can be challenging with 2 adults and 2 children plus bags. The telescopes outside were a disappointment for all of us. Your better off just looking into the sky. I was expecting something really engaging for the children like a rep or even a notice board contain information about stars. Its just not good. Hence the OK rating. Breakfast was good and the shower cabin was really nice but i wasn't impressed after just having such a good time at splash landings which is an awesome hotel experience. Shame about the pods because I honestly wouldn’t recommend it.

Pods are literally 3 beds. Had to sleep with doors open overnight as it was so warm inside. Felt really sorry for the guy delivering our food and drink order as it was wrong twice. Items were missing originally and then we didn't what was ordered. Very close to Monorail, would suggest giving fast track access (first half of train) to people staying overnight as some sort of incentive.

We went after the theme park closed at 6pm , Finding the reception was very hard as no sign posts. We then had a pod which had the heating on and it was boiling hot inside. Very hot day at 30 degrees! The front door didn’t lock properly and was a massive gap between the doors. We came across 3 Massive spiders which I am not a fan off but had to keep the door open as it was to hot. Room was tiny. Pathetic poster on the roof for ‘ Stargazing ‘ The telescopes didn’t move to see the sky. £170.00 for 1 night! No thankyou! Toilet facilities were clean and showers were decent aswell no complaints there. Food was an expensive price. We went to the main hotel to see what could be done and to move the booking to another hotel to spend the night as we had Travelled 3 and a half hours to get to the park. Which after a long day we was exhausted. To only be told we could move rooms for another £50! So we drove home and arrived home at 2am. Was not impressed will not be booking again at the pods. Will try another hotel in the future when we bring the children Hopefully the cbeebies land hotel will be more promising.
