I didn't stay at the hotel as such however unfortunately my vehicle broke down and went to visit a toilet and get some food, the receptionist at the time was very polite and so was the bar staff. I got some food but once again was treated so respectfully and was treated no different than a hotel guest they where all so very welcoming, I highly recommend this place and will be staying here as a guest in the future, top marks from me. Food is decently priced and drinks are okay too. The receptionist deserves such a praise she is brilliant at her job

Clean and modern rooms. I got a warm cookie on arrival. The only thing that really let my experience down was being woken up at 9am by house keeping walking into my room. Maybe my fault for not putting DND on handle.

Ok so this place surpassed my expectations. I got married here 30 years ago and my city has suffered since. The hotel has changed hands a few times since and I wasn’t expecting much but it really was great. It’s a big hotel. The rooms are huge. It’s been very well redecorated throughout. 2 small complaints 1. Lift is a bit tatty. 2. Ground floor lobby is like the land that ti forgot. Otherwise it’s a yes from me

We recently stayed in the King Junior Suite and were truly impressed. The room is incredibly spacious and perfect for an extended stay. The bathroom was a real highlight—large enough for my 6’3” husband to fit comfortably in the bathtub, which is rare to find! The separate walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head was excellent, and the space was so generous that two of us could bathe and shower at the same time without feeling cramped. For a hotel, the bathroom size is outstanding. The only difficulty we experienced was with the beds. We prefer medium firmness, but the king bed was very firm, and the sofa bed was unfortunately uncomfortable. That said, the staff went above and beyond to provide mattress toppers and duvets to improve the comfort. They were genuinely concerned about our experience and made every effort to help us feel at ease, which we greatly appreciated. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is wonderful. From reception to housekeeping and maintenance, every member of staff greeted us warmly in the hallways and lifts. It truly creates a welcoming environment, and the team’s dedication and care set this hotel apart. Breakfast was another highlight. The selection is outstanding, always plentiful, warm, and delicious. Food was constantly replenished, even towards the end of service, so you never felt rushed. The extended breakfast hours are also a great touch for flexibility. The leisure facilities were enjoyable as well. The pool is a little on the small side but well-managed with bookings, and the staff always tried to accommodate me if I wanted to swim. The sauna and steam room were lovely, though understandably busy at times. I didn’t use the gym myself, but it looked clean, modern, and not too crowded. We also appreciated the manager’s attentiveness—he listened carefully to our feedback and was both understanding and reassuring. Overall, this hotel truly shines for its exceptional service and genuine care from the staff. Despite our issues with the beds, the effort and warmth of the team made our stay memorable. You won’t be disappointed staying here

Really great stay at the DoubleTree Stoke-on-Trent. Hotel’s in a good location with free parking, and check-in was super easy. The receptionist was lovely and even gave us a celebration voucher for a drink at the bar, which was a nice touch. Room was spacious, clean, and nicely refurbished with a comfy bed. It was quiet too, even facing the road with the windows open. Only downside was the lack of a fridge, but it looked like reception could store things if needed. The gym looked decent with a few weights and not just the usual treadmill and bike. You do need to book a slot for the pool area, but thankfully the receptionist slotted us in. The pool itself was smaller than I expected, but the steam room was great. Breakfast was busy and the space felt a bit cramped for the size of the hotel, but it was well stocked and good value. The bar was really nice with reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff. Overall, the staff were brilliant - some of the friendliest I’ve come across in a hotel. Would happily stay again, especially for the value.

We stayed as a family of four here and very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was delicious both in the bar and the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want and then a member of staff came over and asked if she could make pancakes for our children. The pool was warm, the room was clean and felt Luxurious. We will definitely be staying again.

Been to a conference. Food was extremely disappointing for the price paid (>£20 pp and drinks aside). Most food was not cooked properly, odd combination of foods and not the quality you expect for such nice hotel. Second time been there and felt the same. Service was acceptable. Good car park

Well what a pleasant surprise. Major refurbishment undertaken. The rooms are fresh, warm, exceptionally clean and comfy. New walk in shower, the old dated baths have been removed although you can probably get a room with a bath but this was not needed for us. Lovely breakfast, buffet style full English, cereals, toast, coffee, juice, Danish pastries, yoghurt. Cannot fault the service, staff are very helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking. Outside breakfast terrace. We had an evening meal which was really tasty and price was not too high. New bar area and seating with USB charging points. There's a spa , gym and pool but we did not use these on our visit. Lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Room was spotless. Check in was easy and the location of the hotel was perfect for my needs. Only gripe i had was the breakfast. It reminded me of a cheaper chain. The orange juice wasn't the best in my opinion and the scrambled eggs could have done with being replenished as they had seen better days. The staff were pleasant however and the bed was really comfy so I would use this hotel again as a whole it was a nice stay.

We like this hotel. My family and I stay when we visit Alton Towers. My only complaint are the pillows being too soft but I won't mark them down for that. Room is always clean, love the reception and dining areas plus the facilities are very good. Breakfast is excellent, lots of options for the us and the kids - also very well cooked, always lovely to settle down to that in the morning. Look forward to coming back on our next trip to A.T. Keep up the great work and high standards!
