Virginia Water Lake is an amazing place to visit with your family! Any season is beautiful, and weβve enjoyed some lovely picnics there. Walking all around the lake is peaceful and scenic. At the entrance, thereβs a nice spot to eat with plenty of options. Parking is usually easy, though it can get busier on weekends. Overall, a fantastic place to spend quality time outdoors β highly recommended!

Virginia Water Park is my favourite place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Every walk there feels like a gentle massage for my soul. Its beauty transforms with each season, yet itβs always breathtaking in its own way.

I took the dogs for a walk there in May, to see the beauty of the Azeleas and Rhododendrons in Valley Gardens. I parked at the south car park and walked through to the lake. I turned left past the little cafe and over the bridge , the gardens are signed up. This is the most beautiful part of Windsor Great Park with the lake and Saville Gardens and it is stunning in April and May with the display of flowers. The colours and views are simply jaw dropping. I was there for just over two hours and I took a little picnic with me but had a coffee at the little cafe by the car park on my return. Parking isn't cheap at just under Β£10 for 2-3hrs but it's well worth it. It's very popular with dog walkers and the dogs can have a little paddle in the lake if they want. You often see horses being ridden there but in restricted areas and the Polo club is on the walk as well. I highly recommend a visit as it is a beautifully kept and well planted park, with lots of parking, there's toilets and a cafe at each end as well.

On a weekday this area wasn't crowded so we had no problem parking. There is a parking fee unless you are a member or friend of the park. There is very little shade in the car park so expect a very hot car when you get back from a walk on a hot day. The walk around the water/lake will take well over 1 hour and is on a well defined and hard footpath. We did see people pushing pushchairs so it is suitable for all family ages. Some people go to walk the various footpaths including one to Savill Gardens, some jog and others take a picnic blanket and sit down by the water's edge. Be aware that dogs are only allowed off the lead in a few places and we only saw a doggy bin near the car park but they do have dog washing facilities at the park entrance. You will find a lovely cafe with inside and outside seating and a shop near the car park. Be sure to download a map of the area if you are visiting for the first time as there are no sign posts around the water indicating distances and directions. We appreciated the ice cream van about 30 minutes into our walk.

Stunning, the entire walk around the lake is wonderfully beautiful. I would highly recommend coming here if you're wanting a walk, a nice place to go as a couple, a picnic or for photography. Lovely place.

Virginia Waters in Windsor Great Park is a great place for family day put. I went there with my small brother and we had our best time over there. You can see swans all around the place. You can have a nice picnic over here. Children definitely gonna love the place. Its clean. Nature feels so good once you visit this place. We did the walk around the lake. It has all types of terrain. Climb, downhill, good and bad roads to walk . Its like a complete small powerpack adventure for kids. There is washroom facility available as well. Has a little food court too. I recommend this place!

Such a lovely place to visit, plenty of things to see such as beautiful bridges, waterfalls and statues. The walk around the whole lake was a lot longer than we anticipated but it was definitely worth walking the whole way round. Cascades weβre stunning, would definitely recommend especially in the warmer months.

A fantastic lake and garden that is great to walk around. The full loop around the lake is a good 14km walk and it is fairly flat and easy for all levels of walkers. On a nice day this is a great way to enjoy outdoors.

If you're visiting Windsor Great Park for the first time then I'd recommend this lake as part of your visit. We took a walk around the lake and it was about five miles.
