   My children (5 and 8) have attended forest school sessions during the last two school breaks. I cannot recommend highly enough. They come home muddy and delighted with having tried out new things, from whittling and fire making to crafting from natural materials (including making their own face paints.) Sue and Clare are wonderful with the kids, letting them try things for themselves and encouraging independence and self-confidence,

   I’ve been bringing my son to Whittle & Spark for a few weeks now and how glad I am we found Claire and her wonderful Forest school. My son absolutely loves it, a new activity every week and so much learning and exploring to be had. Boundaries are in place without taking away the freedom for the children to thrive and enjoy. I just wish I had discovered it when my little girl was this age as she too would have loved it. Highly recommend.

3. Roaming Wild Forest School ★★★★★

   Attended Sue's sustainable foraging for wellness session yesterday. It was amazing. A great afternoon wander through the meadows. We were able to gather identified species and Sue made teas and explained other beneficial ways health giving properties of abundant plants. Explored different ways to identify. Her friend made an delicious vegan/gluten free cake too. Thank you. Also explained how to diminish negative effects on wildlife and knew which creatures depended on the plants. I would love to try one of her other Willow workshop s too.

   I attended a foraging session/lesson which was delightful and interesting. I learned so much while enjoying a peaceful sunny afternoon in enchanting coppiced woods and natural fields. We were encouraged to touch and taste edible plants which made learning so much more fun. Sue is so knowledgeable and engaging, with a lovely sense of humour. The afternoon flew by and we enjoyed several freshly made teas, brewed over the fire, from the plants we had gathered. I would hightly recommend this excellent experience!
