   Good quality restaurant - The club room lounge cafe and restaurant is good value when ordering on the app with members discount, especially drinks. There is a good selection of high protein meals. Staff are friendly and professional. Service is normally slow, how I don't mind this is my leisure time. The new spa is outstanding, sadly doesn't open until 8am so not good if you like a steam/sauna first thing. The studios are amazing, especially studio 2, the view across the area is gorgeous. The reception is always manic, so never forget your card/app or you'll be waiting ages. The outdoor pool makes this the best health club in Derby, nothing like it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Also sunbath in the daytime when its warm enough is the best, feel like your on holiday.

   I’ve just signed up for the Platinum membership at David Lloyds, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. After considering several gyms in the area, this one stood out—and now I can see why. The facilities are exceptional, from the sauna and heated pools to the top-quality gym equipment and variety of classes on offer. A huge thank you to Dylan for providing a comprehensive tour and sharing his extensive knowledge about everything the club has to offer. His professionalism and enthusiasm made the experience even better—he’s truly an asset to the team.

   I’ve been a member at David Lloyd Derby for a little while now and honestly can’t fault it. The facilities are top notch – everything is spotless, modern and really well looked after. The gym itself has a huge variety of equipment, whether you’re into weights, cardio or functional training, and there’s always enough space so you’re not queuing to use machines. The classes are brilliant too. There’s such a wide range to choose from – spin, yoga, HIIT, bodypump – and the instructors are genuinely motivating and friendly, they make you want to push yourself but also make it enjoyable. One of the big highlights for me is the pool and spa area. The indoor pool is perfect for proper lane swimming, while the outdoor pool feels like a treat in the summer. The sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are a great way to wind down after a workout. The staff deserve a special mention – from reception through to the trainers, they’re always welcoming, professional and approachable if you need advice. It gives the place a real community feel rather than just being “a gym”. It is on the premium side price-wise, but you definitely get what you pay for: a full fitness, wellness and leisure experience all under one roof. If you’re looking for more than just a standard gym in Derby, David Lloyd is well worth it.

   I visited David Lloyd and really enjoyed the spa and swimming facilities. The pool area was clean and relaxing, and the spa felt like a great place to unwind. The women’s changing room was very tidy and well looked after, which made the experience even better. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and calm, and it felt like a nice space to spend time in. A really good visit, and I’d be happy to go back.

   We are members here at David Lloyd Derby which we use for the gym, classes and swimming, which you cannot fault in any way it’s a real privilege to be part of this club, everyone is friendly, staff and members. Recently they built a spa in the club which is a love to use. Highly recommended David Lloyd club.

   Great club with really friendly staff. The Crèche staff are a real credit to the club. Absolutely amazing so professional and caring. Spa is wonderful, food fantastic. This place has so much to offer. It’s not the cheapest gym around but you get what you pay for. Thank you.

   Very good to excellent facilities, unfortunately, customer service is Very very very very poor!! The club over rely on its app which is frustrating and crashes all the time and when you ask reception staff and staff support, they refer you to the app!!! It upsets me that the club manager does not take any notice of the poor review on their customer service. What’s wrong with their answer phone, option 2 dedicated to supporting existing staff says:”this option is no more available” and you are advised to use your app! Sigh… Hello, derby David Lloyd Club manager, are you listening?

   Dirty outdoor pool tiles and water too hot for a swimmer, however the indoor pool is great with the jacuzzi, the hammam and the sauna, the gym is immaculate the tennis courts are good but there are not enough badminton. The food is quite expensive... Beware of peak hours when there are a lot of people and families (because this place is really fun with the family). But the customer service is really bad for the price you pay.
