“We have two kids who are very strong swimmers and we have been coming swimnation for the last 5 years. Both my kids could swim without armbands from the age of 6 years old. Swimnation is a wonderful business with a fantastic team of instructors, we could not say a bad word about any of them. They take their jobs very seriously but know how to make it fun for all the children at the same time. “Ravensknowle Park is approx 12 acres (5 ha) of parkland, forming the grounds of Tolson Museum. The park may be small-ish, but it's lovely to wander round, and is well-maintained. It's popular with families with young children. It's home to the striking Cloth Hall Shelter, this being the entrance and clock tower from the old Cloth Hall, moved here from Huddersfield town centre after the Cloth Hall was demolished in 1929/30. There is ample free parking on site. The museum serves refreshments, with outside seating. The Tolson Museum is also worth a visit; entry is free.”
