   Very much in decline! Having only been a member for just over a year and seen two membership price increases I am now in the process of cancelling my membership. I originally chose body scene for it's competitive pricing, this is no longer the case since. In the past year all I have seen added for the increasing membership is 3 old broken rowing machines! Most of the equipment feels rickety, if even working at all and the general decor is in a much needed refresh.

   I’ve been happy at this gym for about a year until the management and ownership changed, since then there have been multiple machines broken, no cleaning stations refresh, no hairdryers, cold showers, pool and jacuzzi and then they closed the private upstairs area where women would work out. Staff rude and not helpful, lied to as each staff member says something different. Now they are wanting to put prices up! I will be withdrawing my membership before this takes effect.

   Probably won't renew after the 3 month contract. Staff are very friendly.... Gym equipment has a decent selection but it's just a bit run down in other areas. Shame really as it's the only local place with a sauna & steam room. EDIT: I have now cancelled my membership with immediate effect due to a 25% increase on the membership which does not at all warrant what the gym has to offer with the constant breakages of facilities.

   I swam here today 21/7/25 after joining the gym yesterday. The pool is a lovely temperature and wasn’t too busy at just after 5pm. The ladies locker room is really clean, plenty of lockers and the showers are great! Treadmills look pretty new although I’ll be using them later in the week. All in all a good experience and glad I joined.

   i left because the equipment was old and rusty, everything was old and tired, Absolute joke i wanted to cancel my gym membership so i sent an email in to the email address that was given over the phone (they gave it me incorrectly wasn't till i checked id still been paying over 18 months paying membership) i called up they said they hadn't received the email so i checked and found out it was wrong i haven't used the gym once within the time i thought i'd cancelled and forwarded the email to show them and they wouldn't issue me a refund

   Love hellaby Hall. I just don't go as often as I should do to make use if the fantastic facilities they offer. The spa is wonderful and the beauty treatments amazing and value for money. Staff are great and helpful and it feels like you are having a lovely little spa day when really just at the gym
